A new place to buy games in the near future!

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

A new place to buy games in the near future!

Post by corn619 »

http://www.donategames.org Its not open yet but you might want to put it in your favorites just to remember it. Its supposed to open in the next few weeks. I'm hoping it'll be a great place to buy games for all systems. And you can feel good knowing your purchase is doing good for people less fortunate.

God, wouldn't it be awesome if this completely killed Gamestop's used game business? We'd be helping kids and removing a blight upon the consumer world at the same time.

I would love that. Charity work cutting into gamestop is a great idea. This was too good not to share, so i posted it over to reddit. Being the weekend, the gaming section doesn't really get a whole lot of articles so hopefully it'll stay up there for a bit and people will spread the word.

Personally, i'll be checking that site before ebay and gamestop. Great find corn!

This a good idea but If it's a non profit I wonder if it's going to stay honest. Too many "worthy causes" have administrators whose offices and paychecks are way to good for non profit.

it seems like they're really in it for the charity... otherwise I'd say that what they're saying is "buy your games here, and the kid lives"

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

I never really understood who bought "word" shirts. Like the ones with a whole paragraph that nobody will read and if someone does they'll think you're a retard. I saw a kid wearing a shirt once that said "Don't tell me to get a life, I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives" it was so very sad. . . .

So I guess everyone is expecting tons of donated copies of Panzer Dragoon Saga and the like popping up...I don't see this site going anywhere, but we'll see. I doubt it will meet the expectations of this thread anyways
