Nothing dramatic, but there were definitely some graphical errors at really weird times, specifically I remember some weird background issues going on near the end with The Boss kind of ruining the moment. Probably just random occurrences though, but I otherwise had no issues at all with MGS2 or Peace Walker.
Dang it, Konami. I've only ever seen the first area of MGS3's remaster in action, and the framerate was wonderful. The 2D graphics, such as the selected weapon, were clearly not upgraded, though. I've never played PW or even the Subsistence version of MGS3, so I may still consider the PS3 ports. Thanks for the heads up.

To be honest, I've heard that the framerate is atrocious, and the control scheme is difficult to adjust to. I haven't played it myself, but I was doing research on the 3DS at one point, and MGS3D was on my list.

Not no more, it ain't.

Well I've heard that on the control too, on a stock system, but one with the circle pad (or the nub on new3ds which detects as that) it supposedly plays better. Never heard of the frame rate being an issue though but I could see that especially if you dual image it playing it in 3D.

Why does Firewatch mention that Sarkeesian protoplasm in the credits? On principle alone I won't be playing that game.

Anita Sarkeesian gets a special thanks. Not sure why or what for.

As a left wing, equalist, I cannot stand that woman. She is a liar, she is obnoxious and aggressive with her views and her arguments are deeply flawed. What I hate most though is how the media and a lot of the general public have eaten up her shit and taken what she says at face value, without doing any research. Thanks to some of the manchild idiots who were part of the Gamergate movement and the media's support of her, apparently anyone critical of her is a "sexist bigot".

According to the developers, they saw her videos mid-development and the whole team except one person felt compelled to change some of the content of the game.

As a right wing guy, I find myself in complete agreement with this statement. I don't even necessarily think what she's fighting for is necessarily a bad thing (in some regards, at least), but the way she does it is disingenuous at best, and malicious at worst. Or at least completely, totally incompetent. I still don't understand why she has the following she does, given that she's just so wrong on so many things, and her presentations wouldn't even pass muster for a junior high speech. And I'm used to being called a bigot already, it's standard operating procedure for some folks when they are challenged. And God forbid that you take up a position that has nuance. Like much on the Internet, that's likely to get you excoriated by both sides.

MGS rocks. Ranking probably something like this:

MGS 3 Subsistance
MGS
MGS 2
MGS 4

Haven't played 5 yet but I'm guessing it might fall between 2 and 4 for me. Just a hunch.

Also possibly unpopular opinion: I think MGS 4 is terrible.

Not really if you've been reading above haha. Most hate it. It's definitely "for the fans only" territory and not for everyone.

I wanted more gameplay and less cringe-inducing cutscenes from that one.

Here's an unpopular opinion: I loved the first Metal Gear Solid game, even loved Twin Snakes, but could not get into 2 or 3. I haven't tried 4 and I bought 5 (GZ and PP) and thought it was rubbish.
