Was playing a little Genesis last night. Got the sega 6 pak and that suits me fine till I get my everdrive. Was playing sonic 1 and you know for me it's not as good as I remember it. Maybe I wasn't in the mood to play it but I don't know what the hype was all about. I mean it's a good platformer but I think games like rocket night adventures is much better than sonic

Well I've got that 6pak too and I felt the same when I got it over 2 months ago locally after getting a Genesis I picked out in the mail. The other games on there felt a bit better, some less, some more, but Sonic just has aged badly. It's probably due to the lack of the ability to control your spin (charge it up) or something, not sure, but it's more of a memory than a relevant fun game as it used to while Sonic 2 feels fine still.

And I too actually played a little last night thanks to that $1 copy of Battletech I picked up from the flea market yesterday. Not very easy, but surprisingly well done and fairly fun. It's kind of like the horrible odds and be tactical overhead angled setup of Desert Strike type games but with a huge hulking mech.

I just don't like sonic. Maybe I'll play 2 for a couple levels but I'd rather play turtles then sonic. Damn I want my everdrives. Can someone please start a donation fund for me lmao

No I got them on hold Bryan. See I sold some stuff to get the everdrives earlier than to wait till my taxes came in but my wife and I realized that we needed the money more on the utilities and food and make sure we were covered. It sucks I had to do it but I'm glad I did and we did get covered for the week. It just sucks because I still have to wait for us to do the taxes which is in a week or so.
It sucks very much but I like electricity and food more than video games lol. So that's where I'm at with the everdrives and I'm very thankful and fortunate that nightmare has the patience and understands. If this was last year I would of had them fast. But this year I own a house now and bills and finances I didn't have last year.

I think Sonic 2/3/Knuckles/CD have definitely aged lot better than the original Sonic.

Label this an unpopular opinion but I much prefer sonic 1 to sonic 2. I also never really cared for the spin dash maneuver. However sonic 3 & knuckles together is the definitive 16 bit sonic adventure in my opinion.

On another note I recently picked up Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, and I must say I enjoyed it well more than I thought I would. The gameplay is rather basic but the music and the moves you can make Mike do just gave me good vibes the whole time I was playing it.

My only gripe with the game is the third world, it's a graveyard level with zombies in it, and the dance move you can do is the dance to "thriller", but for some reason the song is "another part of me". Still a good song but come on they clearly wanted "thriller" in that stage and so did I.

Played some mickey mania for the first time last night and wow does this game look good. I was consistently impressed by the graphics being presented, I didn't even know some of these things were possible on a genesis.

Funny that being mentioned, the other day I found a boxed up copy of Mickey Mania for $5, couldn't pass that deal up even if I don't want boxes. I had it on SNES, one of the worst made Gen to SNES ports, so I was curious to see how mutilated it was as I think it could have played far nicer.
