According to General Relativity, the presence of mass curves spacetime which manifests as gravitational forces.

Moving masses curve spacetime similarly to dragging a finger on a surface of water, where you can actually see the ripples propagate.

You can probably google for better explanations if you want more in-depth.

Agreed he's smart and interesting without the trouble. I do like Neil deGrasse Tyson though and I know it won't happen but I wish they'd do another year of COSMOS. :(

Nah just jokes, I like Bill Nye.

Not too long ago he came down to Tallahassee and shouted CLIMATE CHANGE CLIMATE CHANGE CLIMATE CHANGE off the steps of the capital building. I saw him do it. It was hilarious.
