Have you played Order of Ecclesia yet?

Not everything can be a metroidvania.
Both of them really kind of are, just not 2D. The first game is Order of Ecclesia style with a map and stages to visit/revisit to get all the upgrades and such. The second is all connected, but both utilize the core mechanic of getting upgrades to access more stuff.

I've played through both, but I'd say the first is a decidedly better game - albeit one that takes -forever- to get going. I can understand why people might give up on it early though. Some of the stuff you need to do, like weaken enemies to ride them/etc becomes very tedious...but is also something that gets left behind as more powers and such are unlocked.

The only thing I'm fairly certain of in HARDGAME is that all enemies take about 25% less damage. There's no mention of it in the manual, and back in the year or so after it first came out nobody had mentioned anything specific and none of the FAQs had any mention of solid details or stats.
I already played it to death, so I probably won't be finding out the details with a debugger.
The next time I play I'll be playing one of the new characters in the Revenge on the Findesiecle hack. Read the .TXT - it's pretty cool. I had a lot of fun with Mario when I tried it.

I grabbed an ISO of it so I could check it out. It'd be neat to have from a collectible stand point, but I wouldn't pay any real money for it. $10 tops. I bet it goes for more than that on eBay.

edit: Cheapest on eBay right now is this.

Nope. Thought about it, but then I found out about finalburn on Xbox. Emulates it well enough... I think.
Any reason someone would want the PS2 version in particular? (I mean assuming you actually CHOSE to play the game and besides owning the only physical copy/home version).
...just another lost soul...
