Are you talking about simply replacing the battery? Really easy fix, just pop out the old one and insert a new one. Even I could handle it.

Yup, that's by far the most romantic thing I have ever seen.

I know. It's crazy. It's a decent game - but...
I picked mine up for $25 on amazon like 2 years ago. Sold it to aaron for $25 a year later. Someone bought a sealed copy for over $200 a couple months ago - and now people put it up buy now for $200 and we see the effects of that when it's up for auction. Crazy.

Unfortunately, a lot of these games are creeping up in price with some just straight out jumping up.
It seems the price increases are starting to affect Japanese games now that a lot of collectors have given up on the NA Saturn games.

Great point, "given up". When people begin to do this then prices will start to decline.
Sorry, did not want to derail thread, but I felt compelled to take that comment further.

I don't see an end in sight - at least not for the next 15-20 years.
Most of us only discovered PC Engine / Neo AES / SAT-JP in the last 5-10 years. That means there is an entire generation (with more gamers) that grew up on gaming. They are 16-24 and are just starting to get their own disposable income.
The generation of kids now (the 4-12 yo's) I think may view gaming differently - growing up with digital gaming, growing up with parents who buy 5 games a week instead of 5 games a year, etc. Then it may come back down - but that is a long way a way.
There are guys on atari age in their mid-50's who are very much into collecting still. If you apply that across our forum median age of low-mid 30's, that means we all probably will be in the hobby another 20 years, and those just starting to relive their childhoods could be in this (in greater numbers) for the next 35 years.
