Couple of things:

1. I snagged a "broken", complete copy of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis on eBay for $25, which was scratched to shit, still played, but there were issues with audio. After a trip to my local movie store and a $3 disc buffing, it works great, so it's cool to own what's considered one of the best Jurassic Park games.

2. Does anyone own Drihoo? For some reason, I've had a constant drive to own the game but have NEVER seen it show up on eBay or any other websites for sale. Is the game actually rare in Japan? If anyone has the hook ups, i'd really like a copy of the game.

I've been on a binge of PS2 games lately, basically getting like 20 or so games in the past 3 weeks. I have been hitting up a local chain of music/game/book stores, and just snagging cheap titles (they always have tons of them under 10 bucks, and many of the ones I picked up were 2.99)

Anyway, now that I have amassed quite a backlog for myself, I wonder if I should have been getting the Xbox versions of the titles? Most of the games I got were multi platform, and either the same price or cheaper on Xbox. I just had it in my head I wanted to collect PS2 because that was what I had during that gen. Realizing that the xbox will look way better on my HDTV has me feeling conflicted... My ps2 collection is around 40 games or so, while my xbox is only 10-15.

I, personally, prefer the Xbox versions of most multiplats because I, in general, prefer the Xbox, but I'd say you should get them for whichever system you like the most (which is why I get multiplats on Gamecube if it's an option). If you like the PS2 more than the Xbox for whatever reason - even if it's only nostalgia - then who gives a fuck which version looks better? Get it for the system you prefer. Or do what I do and waste a ton of money getting it for both/all.

When it comes to multiplatform releases, the Xbox versions usually have the edge. Faster frame rates, better textures, more advanced lighting, that sort of thing.

Speaking of Xbox, I put two hours into Far Cry Instincts Evolution last night. Game is super fun. Very impressive for its time.

I'll probably hit up Burnout 3 Takedown or MechAssault 2 soon, then head out and pick up some more games.

Advent Rising seems like a dud, but for $5 something I won't complain. Game crashed like 3 times and the combat... yikes.

The only thing I know about this game is the controversy over the online money giveaway that never happened and that it was supposed to be a trilogy but got scrapped.

I beat about half the missions in SWAT Global Strike Team between last night and tonight. It started out interesting, but quickly became monotonous and unbalanced. I don't recommend it.

I went back to Far Cry Instincts Evolution. I plan to beat this one, but it is ball bustingly hard, so it's taking a minute. Evolution's wayyyy more difficult than Far Cry Instincts was. And not in a fair and just challenge kind of implementation either.

I consider Xbox the fat heavy machine. Xbox 360 the console that broke easily and needed to be returned to Microsoft hospitalfor repair. Xbox one bad name, the console that looks like a cable box

The game did seem like a huge deal at the time with tons of marketing. Tommy Tallarico's music seems awesome too. The world and story might be cool. But technically, definitely seems like a mess best left in the past haha.

Maybe better than Too Human though...

Man it's been a long time for me to put anything on here but a friend of mine gave me an original Xbox modded and in the system has this
Massive coinops 7 which includes
Mame
Atari - n64
Every hand held system on the market
20 original Xbox games also installed
This thing has everything I've ever wanted. Tested arcade games like mk3 and nba jam te and they play fine.
In a couple of days he's going to update coinops to version 8 which comes out in a week or so from what he's telling me.
All the shmups, all the good ps1 games like rtype delta and strider 2 and rival schools, all the n64 games I needed everything is there.

Now I'm goi g to save and put this in a arcade cab and call it a day. Either that or get 3 more controllers to play some turtles in time or Xmen or gauntlet any this that needs four players. Will get all that stuff in the fall. But for now I'm going to just enjoy what I got
