I own a lot of versions of Doom 3, and the BFG edition, and the recent Doom Classic Collection on PSN, and Doom all over PC haha. But yeah, Doom PSX has a slightly different aspect ratio and looks, the weird dark ambient music from Doom 64, etc. It's kind of a case of like checking out an SNES and Genesis game to see the cool differences. I love Doom, so I'm really curious on what those ports are like.
So I guess yeah, I need to get them sometime!
How is your PSOne/PS1 gaming going?

Yea I would man at least Final Doom that hasn't been ported right? (I forget)
I recently acquired the Duke Nukem games on ps1 so I'm on a Doom kick as well. Lol
Tried Quake 2 on PlayStation yet, very polished game for a ps1 FPS.

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Final Doom is generally considered to be a combination of Plutonia and TNT Evilution.TEKTORO wrote:Yea I would man at least Final Doom that hasn't been ported right? (I forget)

The PSX version sounds really funky though haha:

I also played Quake 2 on the PSX originally back in the day as well. Not sure if that holds up that well though, since it's more true 3D.It included a mixture of 30 levels from Master Levels for Doom II (13 of 21 levels available), TNT: Evilution (11 of 32 levels available), and The Plutonia Experiment (6 of 32 levels available).

Been playing some of the arcade retro type games that I own. Doing this has got me curious about owning an actual arcade cabinet and selling off my ps2/1 arcade and fighters. Will keep games like tomba and castlevania and other great ps1 titles. I hope it works out if not then I won't do anything.
Anyways I always liked the arcade Atari remix games. Games like asteroids and space invaders and pong I have fun playing them. I think I'm missing just galaga.

Last night I was playing some raycrisis and raystorm. The games are simply beautiful. Those and thunderfrorce 5 have awesome artwork from working designs. Wished all the psone games and artwork looked like that. Working designs really pushed themselves to make them stand out

After looking at all of the PS1 games on PSN last week, the extent of my physical PS1 gaming has turned to somewhat of a purge of the more expensive titles to get me back into the black. Vanguard Bandits and Suikoden are goin' on eBay today, because otherwise I'm gonna have to make some other monetary sacrifices with things like food which are less viable to do Xp
