Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

I'm a single player gamer, but I love having friends watch me play UNLESS it's a super story-intensive game. If it's a game like Life is Strange or Heavy Rain, I need to be either by myself or with friends who know how to SHUT THE HELL UP DURING CUT SCENES. Generally, though, I love having friends watch me play and talk to me about the game.

You have to have friends in order to have friends watch you play games so I don't get a choice.

Realistically I favor multiplayer games heavily (unless they're super story heavy things like TellTale games) but internet distribution continues to not work in my favor (although I've learned I might actually have a line of site to a WISP dish which would alleviate that).

I enjoy local multiplayer especially but the gaming club at my college only likes to play CoD and not Killer Instinct or Darkstalkers or Guilty Gear.

I think you should see a physician at your earliest convenience--. At the very least, you have III and V reversed in order. Also, Tactics is a surprisingly good TRPG, story elements notwithstanding.

Ha! I still thought III was alright, but I didn't really like the battle system at all, and there was way too much backtracking and padding for my tastes. V commits some of the same crimes (and some ridiculously obtuse recruitment quests), but at least it has a battle system that is similar to the first two games, which I can appreciate. IV I liked better than III because, uneven though it was, it didn't waste a ton of my time (I finished in under 30 hours, if memory serves). I don't think there's a huge gap between the two in my mind.

I bought Tactics cheap many years ago, and I thought it seemed pretty decent from what I played, at any rate. I know Tierkreis gets a lot of hate, but despite Mr. Chipmunk and some non-Suikoden elements, I thought it was a good RPG. Not like the main series has been all that consistent, anyway. :P

(Oh, by the way, Suikoden III was my very first PS2 game.)

Without bothering to look it up, it wouldn't surprise me if they're thinking along the lines of flat chested.

Awesome. I'll read the whole thing when I have a chance.

Also, lol @ this question:

Because Adol has a habit of ignoring almost every female advance during the entirety of Ys - and that's a lot of advances - you must be aware of the enduring fanbase rumour that he is either asexual or homosexual. Would you be so kind as to finally set the record straight on his orientation?
