To my dearest ps1,
I'm sorry. I have not been playing you since I am cheating on you with your older brother the ps2 and and had also relations with your arch enemy from the 90's the n64. Please forgive me.
Haven't had the chance to really play with the ps1 at all. I have been looking at the differences of between the two ports of like mk trilogy or mk4. To me except the unload times I have no desire to pick up any of these or any ports at all comparing games that came out on both systems.
To me it seems like the n64 versions have jumped in price like the Saturn and the ps1 is the cheapest route to go at. Unless I see a major difference like San Francisco Rush series, I think ill stick with the ps1 versions. It's going to make my wallet a little happier lol

Ended up finding my Gundam Battle Assult 1 disc over the weekend. So i've been playing that and it's sequel GBA2. Fun games and easily some of the best 2D sprites i've seen on the system.

Another game I had misplaced which I just found the other day was Bloody Roar 2. This game brings back fond memories. A true sleeper of a fighter on PS1. After playing it for a bit I seem to notice that this game seems to run at a higher resolution compared to most 3D fighters on the system. Everything looks so sharp and vivid.

Apparently Bloody Roar II does indeed run at 480i.

Here's a list of other games that do that, if anyone is interested.

Picked up Sled Storm and what a game it is! I didn't except a snowmobile game to be as good as this is. The shortcuts are fun to find and am glad I got it for $5.

Yeah it's a little annoying what's happening to n64 and I wish I had the time and money to hunt down banjo before it gets any more expensive on the n64 side. Kinda weird that psx is so much cheaper but so difficult to find some that are full of crap sports games(sorry but n64/psx is where sports games were just meh to me even more than before except the tony hawk skating games)...

For curiosity sake and as a huge Doom fan, do you guys think Doom and Final Doom PSX are worth getting?

I would say definitely I loved those ports, I would however highly recommend DOOM 3 BFG edition over them if you have a PS3/360. I actually started BFG the other night going with DOOM first and thought it was great port as well.

Also the other night I gave my PSone some love and played Pitfall 3D, Rogue Trip & Tekken 3 for a few hours. Diggin Pitfall 3D first time playing it and was pleasantly surprised as it wasn't on my want list but gave it a shot for TR, Bruce Campbell Voice acting is worth it alone. Rogue Trip while graphics are dated I miss these days of old school car combat games, there's a remote control missle that you can control in 3rd person view can't say I've seen this done before in these types of games. Also tight controls makes it really fun firefights. Tekken 3 needs no introduction still a very capable fighter one of my favorite fighters period. Oh yea almost forgot played some Hercs Adventures & Chrono Trigger on the PS TV the following night, must say I didn't notice any slow loading issues that are present in the disc version?
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.
