RPG Progress Report

I like XII, but felt overally not as polished overall of a product I'd like to have top 10. It is probably my 4th or 5th favorite FF.

While I reapect Phantasy Star I, I played it after the others and IV still sticks out as the best of the bunch.

I feel so much of these are affected by when they were played. Those played when they were current are usually remembered more fondly, with some of their mechanics that didnt age well, would be more off-putting when plyed later.

Absolutely. Although a top 10 list does give you a strong inference as to the overall type of RPGs somebody enjoys. (Myself obviously being dark, difficult, and serious stuff.)

I know many hate the online aspect of D3, but it offered up some cool advantages such as shared stash, easy drop in and out with friends etc... this is also post patch/xpack D3. The original wasnt balanced right, but after the major patch, it was a much improved game.

I didn't really start playing WRPGs outside Diablo until college when I snagged both KOTOR games, and it wasn't until I graduated and Dragon Age came out that I really started backfilling on WRPGs.

Another very respectable list, aside from Diablo III at least.

Diablo III is more fun than Diablo II.
