Eh, no worries. I only own 38. It doesn't bother me much.ElkinFencer10 wrote:I have a pitifully small PSX collection - only 31. I keep meaning to get more, but my focus has typically been Nintendo or new releases that I'm wanting to play. When I break from that, I typically drift towards Sega's consoles. Poor Playstation tends to get left behind. Now that I'm on an RPG kick, though, I definitely need to pick up the pace with my PSX collecting.

It's less the number that bothers me (I'm totally fine only having a dozen or so Master System games) and more that I know that there are some fantastic games one the console that I don't have.

Devastated by the fact that I own only two WonderSwan Color games.
Re: Games Acquired 2016
I used to get devastated, but lately I've learned to be happier with what I do have. I obsessed a little much about getting some, but now, I think I'm at peace with it. There are still games I'd love to get, but I'm not going to rush out and pay top dollar for 'em, either. That copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga will likely remain forever out of reach. (Not to mention the wallet-seizure-inducing Little Samson.)

Re: Games Acquired 2016
I'm frequently depressed that I only own a single NeoGeo CD game (though, in fairness, I have seven MVS games. Given the price, I don't feel bad about only having one AES game). Same with my single digit 3DO and TurboGrafx-16 collections.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Devastated by the fact that I own only two WonderSwan Color games.
Man, that game's expensive as shit, but if you ever do manage to snag a copy, it's AMAZING. My copy is the prize jewel of my collection.Sarge wrote:That copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga will likely remain forever out of reach.

Great scott! lol, been wanting to play Little Samson sometime. Maybe it'll get a VC release? I'll probably just emulate it sometime.Sarge wrote:I used to get devastated, but lately I've learned to be happier with what I do have. I only have 12 PS1 games and 13 PS2 games. Do I win?
I've said it before aswell, but I own 4 times as many virtual boy games and twice as many Pokémon Mini games as oXbox games.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
I'm normally a Nazi about emulators, but with some of the SUPER expensive games (Little Samson, for example), I'm beginning to lighten up a lot. It's also partly because I don't mind reproductions all that much, and there's really no effective difference between a ROM and a repro. Idk, I'm weird with how I "logic" through things (typically devoid of any real logic).Xeogred wrote:Great scott! lol, been wanting to play Little Samson sometime. Maybe it'll get a VC release? I'm still not sure what I think of repros... but it would be cool having a Terranigma or Seiken Densetsu 3 cart around. Might get some someday.
I don't mind emulation when it comes to expensive games that could be a complete gamble, or if it's pre-DS handheld stuff so I can play some GBA stuff on a bigscreen and more comfortably. I guess there's the Retron now and that Gamecube GBA adapter. I just really wish it was a standard for every mobile platform Nintendo puts out, giving us some HDMI support for TV's or something.
The SNES, PSX, PS2, and 360 are my biggest libraries. The 360 lineup is fairly regrettable since it was when I was doing Gamefly and kind of on the AAA buzz, so I basically kept everything I rented haha... I seriously can't see myself replaying probably 80% of them.
I think my smallest library is the Gamecube and I don't regret it. You guys know how much I LOVE the Cube...
But yeah I agree with some of you guys, I still have about 2,000 more games I want on the PSX/PS2. The PS3 is getting pretty stacked too.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
My Gamecube collection is pretty small, but unlike you, I actually do adore the Gamecube. My small collection that's small by design is Xbox One. I only buy exclusives for it because I just don't see any reason to buy a multiplat on Xbox One vs PS4. They usually perform better on PS4, and I prefer the PS4's controller. With that said, though, my PSX library wouldn't be quite as small if I didn't opt to get that gen's multiplats on either Saturn or N64 (or, with some of the later games, Dreamcast).Xeogred wrote:I'm still not sure what I think of repros... but it would be cool having a Terranigma or Seiken Densetsu 3 cart around.
