Has anyone done this yet. I think I have found out how to do it but won't have my retro duo until tomorrow. Since the retro duo can use the snes controller the 5v and gnd are in the same position as the snes and the snes and nes both have two unused pins I know they are used for a zapper in nes and I'm thinking that the two unused lines in the retro duo could be used for the two lines for the nes zapper.
Here are what each controller has for conductors. Please note there are actual color/numbers inside the original controller.
NES Controller
1. Brown Wire = GND
2. Red Wire = Clock
3. Orange Wire = Latch
4. Yellow Wire = Data
5. Whire Wire = VCC +5V
6. NC Blank = Open No Conductor
7. NC Blank = Open No Conductor
NES Zapper
1. Brown Wire = GND
2. NC Blank = Open No Conductor
3. NC Blank = Open No Conductor
4. NC Blank = Open No Conductor
5. White Wire = VCC +5V
6. Blue Wire = Zapper
7. Purple Wire = Zapper
SNES Controller
1. White Wire = VCC +5V
2. Yellow Wire = Clock
3. Orange Wire = Latch
4. Red Wire = Data
5. NC Blank = Open No Conductor
6. NC Blank = Open No Conductor
7. Brown = GND
Why the red and yellow wire are swapped between the nes and snes i'm not sure. But I should be able to use white and brown for power and ground then just put the zapper wires to the two open connectors if needed reverse then in the event they don't work. If anyone has any input on this please let me know. Also if anyone knows the proper name for the zapper wires please let me know and I will update this. Also the proper name for the open connectors on the snes if you know. Any help would be appreciated.
