What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendations

I'm currently watching Ghost Hound. It's one of the few anime series available on Prime. I'm only four episodes in right now. It's a bit slow off to start, but it looks like things might be picking up.

I'm afraid it never does. I forced myself to finish Ghost Hound a few years ago and I regretted it. Just bein' honest with ya. Why did I force myself? Because it was a conglomeration of Shirow Masamune and Production I.G. How could that not be awesome? Well... watch long enough and you'll see.

I don't usually watch anime, but my younger sibling has the Crunchy Roll app on our Wii U, and my friend wanted to watch some anime the other day, so we watched 'Lovely Muuuuuuuco' on a recommendation I had. It's just a slice of life anime about a guy and his dog, but it's from the perspective of his dog Muco. It's soooo funny, especially to someone who's always owned a dog like I have XD

I actually stopped watching the first time after episode 2, due to the general sense of.... dullness. That it doesn't improve is sort of a downer

Oh well. I'll just watch it sporadically when I have a free half-hour or so to kill and maybe it won't seem so bad.... Or maybe I'll switch over to Princess Tutu. At least I've heard good things about that one.

Just starting Watching Gintama, and also watching Fairy Tail Zero whenever the newest episode comes out.

Gintama has to be one of the most ridiculous anime's I've ever seen but I have to say it is making me laugh. I don't know why but it reminds me of Cowboy Bebop for some odd reason. I guess because the show is set in a futuristic society and the main characters are always taking odd jobs to make money.

It sounds like you're watching GITS:SAC. If you are, you're in for a great time. Its sequel series 2nd Gig is also great. Not too many people (in the west) are aware that GITS got a new TV series in 2015: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_G ... e_episodes

Sadly Arise is pretty forgettable. It's still good cyberpunk fun, but doesn't even come close to the magnificence of the movies or SAC.

I'm just glad the new VA's all turned out great, assuming they might keep making more in that prequelized time frame.

Yeah I'm not saying Arise is good or bad, just that it exists.

The actual best cyberpunk anime in the last 10 years was the first season of Psycho-Pass. The first season is amazing.

Sadly the show changed writers for the second season and it went to shit. So I say just watch the first season and call it done.

A pretty good Cyber Punk show that started recently is Dimension W. I just started it the other day seems pretty solid so far though. It's a lot more upbeat then your average cyber punk show, but still features the staple androids/cyborgs, mega corp bad guys, a conspiracy surrounding advanced energy/tech, future setting, and etc. The main character kind of feels like something you would expect from Samurai Champloo though lol.
