Jessica Jones was great. Tough to beat, I think. Although, I haven't seen Agent Carter.

Jessica Jones is one of the most amazing pieces of television I have ever watched. Agent Carter is great, but Jessica Jones is better. That said, the shows have extremely different tones.

The most recent show I finished watching was Firefly. The 2002 sci-fi series. I'd always heard it was good but ever had my doubts. Turned out it is damn good. Nice blend of sci-fi and western, with lots of great acting and clever writing. I bothered to cap it off with the 2005 sequel film Serenity... which was also highly decent. I totally recommend this stuff to the four people who haven't seen it yet.
Been hopping among a bunch of different shows as new episodes come out. Limitless, Magicians, Blacklist, Arrow, The Flash, Billions, The Grinder, The Expanse, Stan Lee's Lucky Man, and probably others I'm forgetting.
I'd put The Expanse, Billions, and Limitless at the top. Only two episodes into Magicians, but it feels like it's going to be joining those three at the top.

Welcome to the browncoats, brother. No power in the 'verse can stop us.
I find Firefly to be a little overrated because of the little content it has compared to other shows, but I know that's a weak sauce argument. Either way I still liked it a lot and it's a damn shame that we basically haven't had any sci-fi TV like that since then. I've tried dabbling into some new shows off and on but they don't do it. Bring back space and exploration again please. It's the perfect time to bring back Star Trek, but I guess they want to continue doing damage with the new lame movies (2009 one was alright, but Into Darkness was painful and I don't give a funk about this next one. Let's be honest though, basically all the Star Trek movies suck, lol).
You might try out The Expanse. It isn't as good as Firefly but it's heavy into the geopolitics of space exploration and colonization of the Solar System in the near future.

I guess I still need to watch some Battlestar and Stargate though, so I have some backlog of shows to check out.
I watched Farscape last year. It's aged badly in some areas, but was still a fun romp. Prop and practical effects wise it was incredibly top tier though, wowzers. Some of the alien costumes were completely insane. Scorpius freaking ruled too. It's just a damn shame the show wasted so much time doing nothing at a lot of points, or dragging out the romance to the point of annoyance, when the final arcs and the Peacekeepers Wars was really building up to some greatness.
I wanted to like Farscape, I really did. But I couldn't. Ben Browder's character was just too much Frat Boy in Space for me, and it killed it. Also, the slow pace at times.
Stargate's early episodes can be a little rough in places, but that show really hits its stride in the 2nd season and stays strong up until the Replicators show up. Then is starts to fizzle out. And then it just sucks balls when... Ben Browder shows up.
More people need to check out Babylon 5. The first season is kinda crap, though, and it causes a lot of people to abandon the series. My advice is to start watching at the beginning of season 2 and if it hooks you there just read a few spoilers of the first season and slowly try to go back and watch the critical first season episodes (use the internet to help) as you can tolerate them. Seasons 3 and 4 are just insanely great.
Season 3 seems to be the lucky number haha. That was when Farscape was at its best easily, but... let's talk about something serious, that was when TNG dominated and was such a game changer from the campy first two seasons (I still enjoyed them though).
I rewatched all of TNG with the BD releases and it holds up really well... Wesley episodes aside. It's legit probably my favorite episodic series. Seasons 5-7 were not as consistently strong, but I think they have had some of the best episodes and some great moments. But season 3-4 were a chain reaction of A+ episodes left and right.
I really dig DS9 as well but need to get back to that one. I love that it has its own identity and feels so different with the space city setting.
