My other big problem with Other M is the game was a complete cakewalk.

This is true of all Metroid games that do not have 2 (or II) in their titles.

I never thought the original was that hard, either, though. Tricky, maybe, but not hard.

Maybe the bratty thing was an issue, but wasn't that basically a flashback-type thing from really early in her career? She clearly grew up. Stupid? Yeah. Worthy of enough ire to basically kill the Metroid series? Heck no.

Oh, sorry, meant that in a generic sense, not specifically to you or anyone here. I'm referring to the ridiculous Internet hissy fit over the game.

Ha, so this is what happens when I make a crack bashing a Metroid game. Come on, guys. Geeze, I only made one little joke about the series taking a turn. One little joke, and my mom got scared. She said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air." I begged and pleaded with her day after day, but she packed my suit case and sent me on my way. She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket. I put my Walkman on and said, "I might as well kick it". First class, yo this is bad, drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass. Is this what the people of Bel-Air living like? Hmmmmm this might be alright. I whistled for a cab and when it came near, the license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought "Nah, forget it" - "Yo, home to Bel Air!" I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8, and I yelled to the cabbie "Yo home smell ya later." I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there, to sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air.

Even though that new Metroid 3DS game is in no way what people want, isn't there still the distinct possibility it's a good game? On its own I don't see any more reason why it would be bad than good.
