Oh come on, man. You don't see the vast right wing conspiracy that is Elf Bowling?

I'd like to see the article as well if you can inflict it upon us in good conscience.
I know! It's exactly that! But it's sooo baffling because these articles are everywhere and none of them make sense. I mean, ideological criticism (Eg. Marxist criticism) tends to be quite nonsensical but this is beyond out there. I just can't imagine anyone making that connection. Like, really, Bernie Sanders? Gamergate? What the hell?

I would drop some links but I don't want to name and shame anyone, I'm just beyond baffled because I keep seeing this kind of articles over and over :lol:

Capitalist = Right-wing = Republican.

See Ack? I was right. America is ruining not just the world but also video games. Specifically Metroid :lol:

Hey now. Team Ninja ruined Metroid long before we got to it.

I recently played through Read Only Memories. It was a very short and amusing cyberpunk visual novel but boy is it ham-fisted with its values. It's well meaning but to the point of it being distracting.

Basically, in the future literally everyone will be genderqueer (though this did give the world the story is set in an interesting vibe) and the next big civil rights battle will involve furries (joking aside, gene-splicing transhumanism).

There are a few different endings but the interaction is pretty limited. Basically your character can be awesome or an asshole and either way they'll get railroaded through the whole thing regardless.

I'd recommend it for cyberpunk fans but I don't know if there's really $10 worth of content there.

We all know those story bits were Nintendo, not Team Ninja. I thought Other M played fine.

(And I didn't have as much problem with the story bits.)

I'd already heard about R.O.M., and knew it wouldn't be a game for me. Doesn't fit my value system at all. I can usually deal with it, I'm used to it, but what I'd read seemed to describe something so significantly over the top that it would ruin my experience.

Capitalist = Right-wing = Republican.
Well this certainly isn't true.

Only Steam games or ...? If so you're gonna miss out on a ton of stuff, it's nowhere near comprehensive even for the scope she establishes. I mean for one I would think Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons would fall under "emotionally impactful games with an emphasis on themes of cooperation."

Aside from the poor handling of the authorization system (and really, you could see that devs were finding it harder and harder to justify Samus needing to find the same upgrades every game) the story was fine if you were familiar with all the other supplementary bits in the Metroid universe that were only released in Japan.

I thought the finishing moves were weird and out of place as well.
