Hey everybody... Super bored at work and wondering how some of you store your games (mainly loose cartridges)... I've been using wooden cassette holders and briefcases for genesis carts since they have labels that wrap around and say the name of te game at the top.
How do you guys store your loose cartridges? Any home-made stuff? Pictures/ideas would be cool.
Sorry if this thread exists, tried searching for it with no luck!

The OP below has Gameboy carts, see the Replies in the link for other systems such as N64 and SNES.

Cool, thanks, I see some larger cart stuff on this page too! Just want some fresh ideas as I found a bunch of old wood in my basement that I forgot about.

Do you have a link to that fastbilly? I'd like to learn about how the lighting was setup.
and just for giggles heres are recent picture of my storage solution. for loose gb/gbc/gba games I have two official gameboy carry cases that are filled up and tucked away in the ds and 3ds sections of my shelves.

He does not go into details on lighting, but you could easily do the same with LEDbergs from Ikea and an hour with a soldering iron.

Re: DIY Game Storage
I need more shelves, clearly... It'd take some work for my collection to look that nice!
Re: DIY Game Storage
I got creative repurposing an old library dewey decimal wooden card 2 drawer holder from the past to hold all things Gameboy/color/advance carts.

Beyond that, I have this square wall hanger of wood in black, 2 level divided in half and it seems to fit 3DS boxes perfectly so that's just over the TV. To the left I have one of those over 5ft tall wood black propac 21 (movable) shelves 3 tier media/book shelf things which has my carts, cds, and smaller legos on it more or less.

I don't have anything noteworthy to offer here other than the general comment that there should be more "Bored at work so (topic)" threads. Get some more activity in here than everyone just posting in the Random Gaming Thoughts thread.

Re: DIY Game Storage
Ever since I moved into an apartment, I store about 90% of my game library in sterilite containers from Target. I strictly buy the ones with the purple handles, to ensure they stack cleanly and what not. I'll take a picture of my storage closet later, but these are what I use for my loose carts. I'd like to potentially change my storage system around, but it's a bit late since i've invested in so many of these containers.
