Well I hope I like it as much as you do  I tend to be very poop with strategy RPGs, yet I'm still really interested in playing them ._.

I can say that Puppeteer is really good so far though. Pretty cheap too, for some reason.

Pupeteer is really, really good. The art direction is fantastic, and IMO, it is easily the third-best retail 2D platformer on the PS3. (My deep love of Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends prevents me from ranking it higher.)

I share that sentiment exactly :I

Found something really weird at the resale store yesterday. Someone traded in a Japanese 3DS LL, and the owner said he'd sell it to me for 50 bucks! Ended up trading my American copy of Thousand Year Door and 15 bucks for it. Really wasn't expecting to buy one any time soon, but now I'm very much looking forward to including Mori Mori Slime 3 in my next Play-Asia order! It's not something I've ever really researched because I didn't think I'd get one any time soon, so can anyone offer Japan-3DS recommendations?

I also picked up Riviera for GBA because it looked fun. They got in a bundle of weird GBA games, but that was the only one I'd spring for.

I LOVED Puppeteer...
...for 10 minutes.

Then it got incredibly repetitive and almost like a chore to finish.

There are folks that don't like it, but I absolutely loved that game. Good stuff from Sting. Grinding took the form of practice sessions using your weapons, and you'd get stat gains from them. It was pretty addicting, although the game also put a heavy emphasis on doing actions "right" and the inventory management made you make hard decisions on what to keep and discard.

There's also a port of it to PSP, but I haven't messed with it much. The GBA is fine, and the spritework is really nice there as well. I think they're doing some sort of filtering/scaling similar to Eagle, and I just don't like it. :(

My first score for February is BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend Limited Edition for 360. Got it brand new sealed for $13 off Amazon. I've never played a BlazBlue game so this will be interesting.

So you did get this, eh?

With that and Sorcerian I am left wondering.... are you going for a complete Dragon Slayer set? I can tell you the cheapest and most accessible console versions of each game.
