When you guys/gals fire up The Legend of Zelda do you make a beeline straight for the first dungeon or go on a giant scavenger hunt first? Cuz I totally go on a giant scavenger hunt.
I grab the sword first. THEN, I head to the first dungeon. I am weird that way, though.
 Really goin' the extra mile there!

I like to do all this right off the bat:

And Hexyz Force is kinda hard to find, eh? I lucked out and found it at an anime con for $7 a year or two ago. I only went to the con on the final evening so it had been sitting there for days at that price!

That's a great, great deal. Especially if it was complete.

As far as Zelda goes, yeah, I pretty much make a beeline for the dungeon, unless I decide to farm for rupees and get the candle or a better shield. It depends on how I feel. I honestly haven't played through the game in a long time, but I almost always boot it up on occasion and go through the first dungeon. ;)

First you get a couple of free rupees so then you can get the bombs, then go into the dungeons to get the treasures so you can actually kill stuff. Getting the sword is training wheels.

Speaking of previous discussion...

Yo, Exhum, turns out I actually already own Legend of Grimrock. Huh.

Yeah, after your less than glowing review, I'm thinking it can continue to sit in that "will play...eventually" pile I have.

I was thinking about getting Legend of Grimrock for my iPad. I have read that it is an excellent first-person dungeon crawler, and HG101 considers its sequel one the greatest games in the genre. What are your thoughts on it?

I'm gonna pick up the GOG.com version eventually. We can be "gonna get it" bros. It looks cool.

But who knows you or Ack or Bone might love the game, never know.

Also I don't know if Grimrock 2 is any better or worse, no opinion on that.

Grimrock wasn't influenced by Dungeon Master, it's essentially Dungeon Master 3, with all the good and bad from that.

Also, sounds like you're just a casual.
