It is a known issue. It is a Brazilian developer who went quiet in Rackets questioning of them. We will likely be issuing a C&D in the near future.

Now that is funny. The site cant afford to get off the small orange server but lawyers are on retainer for C&Ds. I lol'd.

Note the key word of "Likely."

After their Indiegogo failed and they stopped responding to emails, they fell alot in Google rankings. We are still the top, had that changed it would have been a different ballgame. The Racketboy name is copywrited afterall.

You can't copyright a name. You trademark it. Titles and names and the like have never been copyright-able.

I dunno, we've talked about getting more people to the site, a court case like that could show up on Polygon or Kotaku or reddit or something, and possibly bring in new people.

Buuut, at the same time, with that big of an exposure I feel like we'd bring in a bunch of people we intend to avoid here. *cough*gamefaqsboardusers*cough*

Correct, this is why I am not a lawyer.

I am also not a lawyer, but I am a librarian, which is probably the second best occupation for dealing with issues of "intellectual property". And yes, I am incapable of typing that term without quotation marks.

Do you air quote it when saying it aloud? If so, I might sort of love you.

It just so happened that I saw that on Steam today and said "hey!" I figured it was a weird coincidence.
