Wow, really fun to see the activity go up like this in the thread! I've already gotten a lot of answers I'm really impressed with, you guys sure do have a refined taste in gaming.

I'm going to post the correct answers when the results get online which should be 27th January. Half of the fun is seeing people go mad over not knowing the correct answers, no way I'm letting go of that any way sooner (be sure to make a quiz of your own and find out about the joy, I would love to participate as well).

I know how my students feel. Seriously, #24 was the only one that I knew (although I knew that one within the first two or three seconds). The others were all wild guesses.

That was so much fun. I know four of them (5, 8, 15, 25), but I'm riding on a lot of incomplete answers. There's a lot of "This is the title of the track, and it's either from this game or this game" and "It's from this game, but darned if I know which stage." That's what happens when you listen to VGM without necessarily playing the titles the tunes come from, I guess!

The only one that I know through-and-through is 15. One of my all-time favorite slowjams.

I also know that I know 23 -- I've listened to it a lot -- but I can't place anything about it. It's making me crazy!

I think I'll go sit with pierrot over in the corner so we can rip our hair out together until the answers get posted.

Well, I got my 3 guesses right (Mario World, Mega Man X, DKC2). I'm slightly miffed by missing Sonic 3D, will have to relisten to that.

So I made a friend of mine who doesn't visit this forum take this test and he got 4 right - the 3 SNES games I got, and Kuru Kuru Kururin. So go him I guess, the only person who knew that one!

Well, considering the only ones I'd played are Starcraft II (which was the only one I got right), Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, and Sonic 3D, I don't feel too too bad (especially since I haven't played the last three for at least six or seven years).

Oh, son-of-a--! Fucking Climax! I should know by now that my brain wants the Shining Force II soundtrack to be part of the Landstalker soundtrack.

I got a kick out of some of my guess:

Needed more Genesis music overall, but I found out that I like some music from Lufia: The Legend Returns and Kuru Kuru Kururin.
It's some small solace knowing that one of the people I lost to goes by "hikikomori" (ie. 'shut-in').

Wow, this was fun. I think I did all right! Any chance we can get the systems associated with the games? I really only know 8-bit and 16-bit stuff, so I'm wondering how many games I didn't get because they're newer.

Are you going to do this kind of challenge regularly, Tiduas?
