Aye, that's the version I have. It was on sale, IIRC.

Dust is fantastic. I'm iffy on the furry art style, but I think it's pretty well done in this game.

I knew that was gonna come up, but blessedly it plays the furry angle straight, much like Freedom Planet.

I just finished Limbo. I played it back when it was new, and it's even worse now. The art style and sound design are downright amazing; everything else is less than mediocre. 90% of the puzzles are trial-and-error that give no satisfaction at all. I'll be writing a review for my blog later today, though it won't be published for another week or two.

On my Vita, I'm playing Mutant Mudds. This game is pure platforming delight. I think I love just about everything about it, except that extended Vita sessions give me hand cramps.

A few hours in to X-Men Legends. I've been doing all Marvel games semi-chronologically for my blog, but I decided to jump ahead - like 10 years ahead - because I love this one so much and I can only take so many LJN games before I go crazy. Hands down my favorite comic game ever - take that, Arkham series!

Oof, those LJN games were pretty awful. X-Men is easily one of the worst NES games I've ever played. Maybe not the worst, but it's in the running.

They only game they ever made that I enjoyed was Jaws.

Jaws gets a bad rap, but it actually plays pretty decent. It's miles ahead of a lot of other terrible NES games.

EDIT: Oh, right, they also made Roger Clemens' MVP Baseball. That's a pretty good one, actually.

I actually really like it. It doesn't make up for LJN's other sins, but I think it's a legitimately good game.

Also, I just started Life is Strange. I've only done episode 1, but I'm already hooked.

Whoa. No wonder it was halfway decent. The dev on Jaws was Westone. No, seriously!

Also, Sculptured Software did Roger Clemens, and another good one, WWF WrestleMania Challenge was developed by Rare. I'm not even really sure LJN did any of their own development, now that I poke around. They were apparently a publishing arm for Acclaim, who was also known for their awful stuff.

LJN published a very wide variety of games from a very wide variety of developers... so I don't think the LJN Stamp of Shit is always indicative of the game's quality. By and large they're garbage... but there are a couple of gems in there. And by 'gems' I mean mediocre.

It doesn't get much worse than that X-Men game, though...
