I'll wait on reviews and make a decision then.
No point in preordering something from a major publisher IMO.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I typically agree, but I'm a big fan of Square's recent handheld games, both Bravely Default as well as the Final Fantasy games. It's been a long time since I was impressed by a console JRPG from them, but they've not disappointed me with handhelds. I'll give you my thoughts on it when I get it if you'd like.Exhuminator wrote:I'll wait on reviews and make a decision then.

Amazon preorders are free and give a 20% discount, so if a game is coming out I know I want I preorder and then don't have to worry about forgetting to buy it.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Waiting a year will usually give you a 40% discount and the shipping's still free with Prime.
As for not forgetting games, I keep an up to date want list. That's meticulously sorted by platform and desirability. Because I'm crazy.

Wait, how is this crazy? I would go crazy without some sort of list like this, with the number of games I wantExhuminator wrote:As for not forgetting games, I keep an up to date want list. That's meticulously sorted by platform and desirability. Because I'm crazy.
Re: Nintendo 3DS
That's my motive since getting prime 3 weeks ago. I setup Mega Man Legacy and Uncharted 4 so far, once that Sega 3D pack goes up I'll hit that up too. The 20% and free shipping makes a difference if you're on a budget.MrPopo wrote:Amazon preorders are free and give a 20% discount, so if a game is coming out I know I want I preorder and then don't have to worry about forgetting to buy it.

I'll wait a bit, I want to see some reviews. I've got GCU at Best Buy, so I'll probably purchase through them, though.
I also got baited into preordering Dragon Quest VII at GameStop. I can always move it to another game if I need to. And that's one game I know I won't need to wait on reviews for, it was always going to be a day-one purchase.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
That's my feeling on MML since I know the NES games and the extras are neat, and then Uncharted 4 I know it couldn't possibly be broken as the other 3 are PS3 favorites above all else so it's safe.
The more I read up on beta players i may sink in for Street Fighter 5 since they threw out the janky 1P AI and the annoying changes they made to combat in SF4 and went back to a mix of SF3, Alpha, and a wee bit of SF2. It's more tactical, not just whoever can smash face while using technicals the fastest to win gearing it straight for fanboy pros and tournament players. They said they're making it like the older SF games so anyone who sucks or is a pro can get something out of it. I really really dug SF2, SuperSF2, Alpha1+2, and the SF3 line-up I had on Dreamcast so I am starting to really warm up to that and getting it for $48 vs $60($65 with tax) is a good thing.
And then that Sega 3D Classics package, I know all those games from arcade(emulated or not), Genesis and SMS so that's a no brainer and at $24 vs $30 ($32 taxed) I'm in on that. I do think it was dumb them releasing Vol2 from Japan and ignoring the original release with gems like Outrun and Afterburner.
Bravely Default 2 I'll buy as the first one, while I never finished it, I put like 40 hours on it and that I consider money well spent, and that prime discount would take I think around $10 off taxes and all.

So turns out Amazon still has Launch Editions of The Legend of Legacy in stock, much to my delight.

How is that? I've thought about getting it, but I've been on the fence.MrPopo wrote:So turns out Amazon still has Launch Editions of The Legend of Legacy in stock, much to my delight.
