That's pretty cool, but the other nugget there is Zack & Wiki. That's a great, great game.

What kind of game is that? It's been on my shelf for a while, but I haven't gotten around to playing it.

Point and click adventure I believe, or the nearest equivalent.

Yeah pretty much. It's split into stages and it's possible to die, but it's essentially an adventure game.

It's definitely an adventure game. It just isn't a LucasArts style one. The game revolves around a level structure where there's progressive puzzles (figure out the steps to the solution) and also a slight action focus for timing.

It's a really fun game, and is severely charming. It's really disappointing that the game didn't sell well and there were no sequels and no other media to come from it.

And this is the kind of virtual console release that becomes a must-buy for me with that kind of uniqueness. Thanks for sharing.

Exactly how much content is it? That video I linked earlier was almost 2 hours long haha, are the e-reader levels combined basically an entire game in itself?

There were 38 (I think) e-Reader levels total. Five are classic levels redone, and various levels do take inspiration from older games in various ways.

More importantly than the VC release containing e-Reader levels, it includes the Japan only levels too. (apparently)

It makes it an absolute must buy, those cards are silly time expensive and the e in e-Reader doesn't mean "easy".

The extra levels make this a "must buy" for me.

I also have Earthbound Beginnings, Sin & Punishment, and Ufouria on my Wii U. Are there any other Wii U (not Wii) virtual console games that: (1) were not released physically in North America; or (2) have extra features that are not generally available (e.g., the e-reader levels in SMB3)?

Exactly. I was pissed when I first learned about the E-reader levels because I don't wanna mess around with that E-reader nonsense. I think I remember reading about a hack that added the E-reader levels, but let's face it, VC is the easiest way to go.
