This was actually released as a cartridge???

Now that you guys mention it, it's true that it seems to mostly exist as a Power Flash cartridge. Ack apparently knows of a physical release but if it exists, it must be really expensive.

So yeah, repro or bust on that one. A shame because it's the best version of the first game.


Still, I think getting the Super Famicom itself is not necessary, an American SNES or a PAL SNES with a 50Hz/60Hz switch would work as well.

No, I was getting it mixed up with Wizardry Gaiden: Throb of the Demon's Heart, which apparently did get a physical release for the Super Famicom but can also be found on Nintendo Power memory carts. Wizardry I-II-III only exists on the NP memory carts, though I have seen box art mock ups for it.

I really like FAQr. Essentially it's just a pass through for GameFAQs, but it's got a really nice interface, a good search feature, and you can set bookmarks within FAQs. Additionally it "remembers" all the FAQs you have used within the app, and you can still access your "saved" FAQs offline.

Beyond that, a good PDF reader can also be beneficial for any more traditional guides available in PDF format.

I'm disappointed with the game line-up....but I've LOVED the 8-bit games with the redone 3D, so I'm still looking forward to it.

I have most of the 3D Classics already, but I'll definitely be picking this up - it's the only way to get 3D Puyo Puyo Tsuu, 3D Power Drift and 3DS version of Maze Hunter 3D and Fantasy Zone 2. I still need Thunder Blade and Fantasy Zone W aswell, so that works out nicely.

I wish they had localized the first one too, but I'm still excited for this.

Golden Axe seems like a perfect game to get the 3D treatment - considering the game plays on a 3D plane of sorts.

It's not a great game though so maybe that's why.

They did 3D Altered Beast, so I'm guessing they don't let that bother them too much

But seriously, Golden Axe seems like a prime candidate. The 3D depth in the Streets of Rage games works perfectly.

I hope there will be another round of 3D classics,but this late in the systems life it seems perhaps a bit unlikely. My picks would include Golden Axe, Streets of Rage 3 and maybe Sonic 3D Blast. I bet that would be improved by extra depth perception more than you might expect.
