No worries, chief, I just don't think you needed to defend anything. All the stuff I said was jokes about Florida...unless you really do believe the Keys are a separate country, in which case, Viva la Conch!
Yeah, we may joke about Florida, but I think most of us would love to live there.

I get the same way about New Orleans. Although in our cases, Miami and New Orleans really are great cities whereas American exceptionalism is a xenophobic myth perpetuated by warmongers trying to justify America's imperial conquests and political domination during the 19th and 20th centuries.
Now this guy, he's good at making jokes.

It's all good, Ack.

I have a lot of fun stories about the Keys too. I'll save 'em for another time 'cause I seem to be babbling too much about Florida this morning.

Ticked. VR is bullshit and not the future, how about programming games with more sophisticated artificial intelligence. Also someone has the balls to make a game simulating the 9/11 attacks for oculus rift are you kidding me how about I throw you out a window. Garbage
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Smiled - My first period this semester doesn't seem like a bunch of awful shitheads (for the most part; there are a couple I think will give me trouble, but just a couple). Let's see how my next two classes look.

Yeah? Try it out. It's not that great. I think the FL jokes were mostly valid.

The real crime is living in WV and pining over FL. Sorry Samson, but I calls 'em like I sees 'em.

Step outside and take a pic, I'll do the same...we'll see who wins. You are in the Mountain State (Home #2 for me) man! Enjoy it.

So, you are from New Orleans Elkin? Me too! At least 90% of my family as well. I moved away long ago, but it's always been like home, and I get back as often as I can.

Algiers mostly, but they are spread out all over the surrounding areas.

I moved to North Carolina when I was 3, but most of my family is still in New Orleans, Kenner, Metairie, and Baton Rouge. Even if I've lived in NC for more than 20 years, New Orleans is still home in my heart. I don't get back often - only 3 or 4 times since we moved - but I love every second of it the few times I do get back.

My Great Aunt and my Great Grandmother both live in Metairie. They have relocated twice though, used to be in Old Algiers right on the levee. That is where most of my childhood memories are. I love New Orleans more than anywhere else in the world. However, WV (formative years in Morgantown) is a close second. I bet that isn't a common theme.

Truthfully, I may eventually move back to Morgantown. I want my kids to experience life in that environment.
