When things go wrong, I'm creamed by a double decker bus I didn't see from behind me. Which sends me flying as a reeling spinning bloody mess where I land bone crunchingly into a crowd of screaming onlookers. Sometimes this causes a massive accident with cars piling up and then the cops and ambulances show up and it's just chaos.

There's probably a better way to hire a taxi in Sleeping Dogs. But damned if I know.
Nope, you're doing it right.

I often found myself standing in the middle of the highway, hoping one would spawn close enough that I could stop them.

The bastards never stop unless you're right in front of them, so you're always playing tag with death.

Yep, lots of space, just like Dragon Warrior. I'd be shocked if there weren't a good deal of redundancy built in. Games like Tecmo Super Bowl, though, probably use almost all the SRAM to store all the season statistics. That was seriously impressive back in the day.

Here's one I was mad about earlier. This has to be the dumbest packing job I've had in as long as I can remember. I paid $51 shipped (which is low) for F-Zero Climax CIB, supposedly not used but opened for the picture on ebay.

Let's tick of the boxes of stupid stuff.
1. Tapes horizontally one strip over the top, and one over the bottom of the cut out label, not the middle.
2. Now on the the top if you see it, there's a starter piece from a roll of cheap gift wrap (magic mending) clear tape. Hmm why?
3. Because on the reverse instead of properly sealing the package (as it was new, not reused) he unfolds just one flap, smashes it down on the back of the bagging, and then pops the little piece of somewhat tape as an extra fastener to seal it. Clearly it's meant to seal on the end and not be opened again which is why it has that tear strip handle you can see to rip it open.

4. Bonus points to the post office. They didn't even notice it was gone. That's right, the bag is one of those puffed up cloth padding types so it had heft and bulk, conformed to the box that was in there, guessing by size wrapped in bubble wrap or something.

Somewhere in transit the halfassed sealing job unfolded, slid the contents out (if someone didn't do it) and then it flapped back closed and likely from compression of other goods sort of restuck it back down and it made the journey from Santee, CA to KY. It felt light when I pulled it, then I received my $51 dollar bag of air. I've been wanting to replace that game for years and to find it go low and on a US seller, argh. Now I have to have a case, let him likely whine about it, get my dough back, and buy again from someone less ignorant on basic uses of sealing a package.

The first time I ever had something stolen from me it was Final Fantasy Legend 2. It went missing from my desk in school. I was near the end of the game and had put a lot of time into it. I never found out what happened to it of course and never replaced it to this day because it just reminds me of how pissed off I was.

I got a good one and I've said this before. 1989 of June ninja gaiden had come to the video rental store and only had 3 copies and I managed to rent it on Friday night while my dad rented movies for the family. Man I miss those days.
Anyways all day Saturday I was playing the game. Got to the last level and go and trying to beat the last boss. My brother rich comes in and says "shut the game off bob the Red Sox are on". I told him no and I told him to hold on I was about to beat the game and the bastard kicks the system. All I got was a solid punch in the gut litterly because he was older and bigger than me and the I told you to shut it off.
I was so pissed and he never remembers it. That sucked so much

Worst gaming-related things that happened to me:
I looked at game prices on eBay
I looked at system requirements for PC games I was interested in
Got super-hyped for *cringe* Final Fantasy XIII, splurged on a PS3 just to play it
Had EarthBound stolen
Bought a Neo Geo X at launch because I expected an awesome library of MVS/AES reissues to follow soon after
Tossed some old (and very rare) floppy disks because I thought they were dead - turns out I was just entering the wrong commands to boot up the games
Passed on a free TRS-80 from a craigslist dude because I thought it was just some old crappy generic PC-compatible (I mean, I was literally in the dude's house looking at it and I said ".....nah")
Didn't play video games for like an entire decade because I was too into sports, music, and chasing girls (this may actually be a good thing)

Well if we're going to pick on dick brother vs a game moves here's one.

I saved up and got Final Fantasy for the NES back in 1990. I had to play that as a 13 year old around school, friends, homework. It took me months as we all know how slow it is to earn any cash or XP in that game given the prices on gear (especially for warrior.) Months later, I finished the game one night before bed and I was loving it, used that NP guide quite a bit for the maps, just not the tips, as I never much liked being lost in places and FF1 had that nasty last dungeon with so many stairs and no saving.

I come back to it I think a day or two later. My brother, 3 years younger, was kind of game picky liking certain stuff, hated/disliked RPGs, and never warmed up to adventures either like Zelda 1 or 2. For some bs reason he decided to try it out. Fires up a NEW game, goes to the town, not sure he did anything, but one thing, went to the Inn and saved. I happy go to turn my game on to drop Chaos again to see random names and a LV1 set of characters. I thin he tried to move off as I didn't think a game would glitch like that and my parents wouldn't play it. So I went into a blind rage and started whipping his ass for it howling about the lost work and time on it, I didn't even get in trouble that time for doing it either (which is surprising.)

Ever since that day I've never once been able in the 26 years since been able to actually sit down and finish that game on the NES, EVER. I've tried, and my motivation dies either in Elfland/Dark Elf area, or at most the Vampire/Lich bit with Melmond. I just can't do it, too damn painfully slow and I don't have a game genie to lv99 and full cash it. Only once the Dawn of Souls on GBA came out with the non-stupid MP system and fair cash/xp allowances I finished the game once more.
