Yeah the first three Gaiden titles are on Game Boy.

The good news is - contrary to what Wikipedia states - you can play Wizardry IV on consoles. It's on PC Engine CD and PlayStation, via a couple of compilations:

That's because just about every post would be:

"I'm playing- ...nevermind, the batteries died."
As a staunch Game Gear fan (it was the only thing we had that wasn't a C64 or Apple until '94) I will reply to this standard quip with "this is why you use the AC or car adapter!" I NEVER used batteries for my Game Gear and spent hundreds of hours on it.

^ I had plenty of times my forearms or hands felt numb from playing that thing. What a hoss.

I would be interested in any hidden gems for the Game Gear. My shpiel about it was always "Get Shinobi I & II, and that's about it." I know there are some decent other games, but I never felt like there was much you couldn't play elsewhere.

Big Sega fan but I never thought of it as very essential. My other shpiel however is that it's maybe the only system left where the collector bug hasn't hit too bad. You can still get games for a buck or two apiece a lot of the time.

I haven't played it personally, but a friend of mine in high school (the only kid I knew who had a Game Gear) swears that the Power Rangers game for it is one of the best handheld games of the 1990s.

the original (not The Movie) Power Rangers game for GG is so awesome. It's a 2D fighting game and it kicks ass.

Yeah, it was the original that I was talking about. He didn't have the one based on the movie, I don't think.

Tim Worthington has the GGTV mod if you're into modding systems (and since you can pick up a cheap GG for like twenty bucks or less...)
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

I actually enjoyed the movie based one a lot too, though the difficulty was a bit lax.
