I've got an interesting copy of Resident Evil 2 for the Playstation and I wanted to ask some questions about it.
I do not know if these discs originally came packaged with this particular case or if they were paired together at a later time. On the right side of the discs is a Players logo that has a capital P with a basketball within the P. I believe the discs are legit as on the bottom of disc 1 (on the data side) it is printed "Evil 2_A". Disc 2 has the same but it says "Evil 2_B". I haven't seen these before and don't know anything about them. I am assuming that my account won't ever be activated so maybe someone here knows, or could ask on those boards for me (or if they were curious as well).

Well I registered for the bio flames forum the day that you posted the link and my account has still not been activated by the administrators...
So here is the copy of Resident Evil 2 that I have.

Same goes for all PS1 titles.
I thought I remember some of the greatest hits titles not having black backs. The two greatest hits games I have with me at the moment do have black backs, but I think the Final Fantasy VII greatest hits was regular, not 100% though.
I'm pretty sure the "Players" PS1 games are bootlegs (or some kind of South American distribution channel). I had a Vagrant Story disc before with this logo and the CD color was a standard silver like a music CD.
Like someone said before, legit PS1 games have black bottoms.
I'm pretty sure I've got a few PS1 games that don't have black bottoms. I'll check later today to confirm.
Molotovwars, I know a guy who is looking into it for me about it, but they need higher resolution scans of both sides of the disc. Think you can provide?
