I ended up getting rez and it's freaking awesome, makes me wish I had an HD tv. For the record I already have sf2 turbo hd remix, it's actually the first street fighter title I ever owned, so I think it's pretty sweet but man I suck at that game, I've yet to win an online fight.

Um... You bought HD:Remix but don't have a HDTV? I've played it on both and I cannot tell the difference between HD:R on SDTV and SF2:T aside from the sprites being slightly smoother, and the obvious tweaks with balancing but, let's face it, unless you are a combo machine/pro player you aren't going to notice.

Complete waste.

You should have just got SF2 (and even then, you'd only want it for the online play) and saved yourself ten bucks. Then you probably could have bought Rez AND Ikaruga.


Also to the animation thing with HD:R the whole point was to be able to play SF2 in it's original state as well as having the nice new graphics. If you don't like the new graphics you could always fall back on the old style. What are they supposed to do, insert frames into the old game as well? We all know that as soon as they did that all the fanboys would run out screaming "Sacrilege!!" and they'd just be complaining about it's addition instead of it's omission.

I don't understand how I could have saved myself 10 bucks when the original SF2 is 800 points and HD remix is 1200, I just spent the extra 5 bucks or so because I read a review that said the online play was way smoother. Also I don't think with that extra 400 points I could have gotten Rez OR Ikaruga, so chill out and stop worrying about how I spend my money.

Yeah the GFX are in HD but they didnt do anything else to it...not even add frames of animation. So you have choppy HD looking characters...come on! There is alot of complaint about it.

Hmmm. Are you aware of how SF2 actually works? Adding frames of animation would break the game. One of the best things about that remake is that they resisted the temptation to change the gameplay just for the sake of pretty HD-ness. The game feels, plays and controls exactly the same as it did 14 years ago, which is a very good thing indeed. And they did add a whole new re-balanced mode based on the input of expert tourney players. If you're a SF2 fan this game is entirely worth it IMO.

You pretty much summed up my feelings. I checked out the demo and think it is amazing. I would have downloaded it a long time ago but decided it would be pointless until the 6 button pads came out since I dont use arcade sticks, and the 360 doesnt have a d-pad.
