I just looked and it's only available pre-owned.

I picked up Xenoblade Chronicles X and while it seems fantastic in several ways I also find it somewhat overwhelming. I turn it on, see the vastness of everything, and then don't know what I want to do and go play something else. I do want to play it though, so I'm not really sure why I do this.

Oh, it's DEFINITELY overwhelming when you first get into it, and it does nothing to hold your hand while you're getting started. Stick with it, though; it's probably the best game on the Wii U, at least IMO.

Welp, I definitely missed my chance to get Bayonetta 2 with both discs ._. Oh well, guess you can't win them all.

I ordered a pre-owned one hoping it's complete. If not I'll just return it but I'm hoping mine isn't cancelled because they are no longer available either.

You can download both versions or buy Bayonetta 2 retail when it comes out and download the first one. Obviously not as good as getting both on disc but it's at least an option if you just want to play them.

So Nintendo content is being locked behind Amiibos now? I don't give a shit about their overpriced plastic.. Just when I was beginning to like those bastards again.

As far as I know, it's only "extra" stuff that's being locked. The Wii U exclusive features in Shovel Knight, costumes in Yoshi's Woolly World and Super Mario Maker, a couple of special weapons in Splatoon, etc. It seems to be mostly expensive physical DLC vs cheap digital DLC for the most part. That said, however, I own every amiibo released so far, so my opinion is not the most unbiased.

The new Twilight Princess remake has a new dungeon locked behind the Wolf Midna Amiibo. Though that Amiibo comes with the game. Makes those ordering the retail launch a better deal. I'm sure that Amiibo will be available separately for those that download as well. It'll just cost more.
