GameFAQs users have clearly never played Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1.
Or, Alien on the Run...or Electronic Super Joy. (Seriously, those games are totally awesome, and everyone should play them...Is that an unpopular opinion?)

Me neither. And, I won't play it until it gets ported to the 360, 3DS, iOS, PS3, or Wii U.

Only BMG (who is a good, gentle, and caring person) gets mad, however, when people sh*t all over something for no good reason.

Is that how you see my stance in this matter? The last thing I said about Undertale was it's a "nice little RPG with above average writing". I don't think that equates to me being a cranky geezer about it.

The problem I have with Undertale is not the game itself. The problem I have is that large portions of its fanbase insinuate there's something wrong with you, if you don't fervently adore the game. There's been a bit of that here, and a lot of it on other forums I visit. That hivemind peer pressure circle jerk is really annoying after a while.

Anyway, I wish Toby Fox more luck with future endeavors than Daisuke Amaya had. All those Cave Story lovers weren't there for him for Guxt, Kero Blaster, or Pink Heaven. I guess no one told them to be.

I bought Ikachan (3DS). I wanted to buy Kero Blaster, but couldn't find it in the App Store...(I may not have been searching corectly, however.)

I loved it, but (unlike Alien on the Run and Electronic Super Joy) it didn't make my head explode. If you like metroidvania style games, you should give it is a shot.

Undertale is a hipster fad. That's my own personal opinion. And I won't change my personal opinions just because someone doesn't agree with them. Now I realize that's an unpopular opinion concerning Undertale. Hence I wrote that opinion in this thread. You know, the thread where we are encouraged to share our unpopular gaming opinions. Or did I read the sign on the door wrong?
Hipster ('outside the cultural mainstream') and fad ('intense and widely shared enthusiasm') are contradictory to me. It's an oxymoron.

That said, I have no opinions on Undertale. I've never played it and know very little about it.

My point wasn't about Undertale, i was just getting the feeling of an awful lot of negativity about things floating around the forum lately. And admittedly, I chose a bad thread to call that out in, but I just responded to the latest example I could find. Maybe it's just new year negativity, I dunno. I just know I've felt like there's not a lot of love I've seen around here for things lately.

Except Neptunia. People love their Nep-Nep

Come on now, hipsters can't have fads within their own subculture?

I say bring on the sequel; Overtale!

What about Offtothesidetale? Could be like a side story.

Not you in particular. I'm voicing my feelings on the overall fan-war.

I also don't really see the point in railing against the fanbase. Look at any moderately popular thing and you'll find people ready to call you names for not liking what they like. Some people can't handle not having their opinions validated 24/7 and act out accordingly and it's become an increasing problem in a world full of Trigger Warnings and Safe Spaces.

Undertale's overzealous fans are just obnoxiously noticeable now because it's new and currently popular.
In that respect I can agree that the fandom itself is a "fad" in that will die down when most of those people move on to the next thing. I don't really think that's relevant to the game itself though.

I've already seen critics call it Overratedtale.
