Warrior Within came out in 2004, God of War came out in 2005, so that scenario isn't exactly plausible. Whoever told you that didn't know what they were talking about. The problem with Warrior Within, is that it went all grimdark and not everyone appreciated that change.Markies wrote:as they tried to make it a God of War clone
I finished Sands of Time and enjoyed it, but I never did finish Warrior Within. I didn't mind the grimdark change, and I thought the combat system was far better in Warrior Within than it was in Sands of Time. However, the thing I couldn't stand was being chased by the Dahaka demon. There are obstacle stages where you are chased for long distances by this Dahaka thing, and if you screw up at all, you are insta-killed, and you have to start the whole damn chase sequence over again. I quickly ran out of patience for that and gave up on it. However, I'm planning on revisiting Warrior Within via the PS3 HD port, and also hitting up Two Thrones as well. Maybe even this year.
I say give Warrior Within a shot, some folks liked it better than Sands of Time even.
