Where I live is so obscure half the road signs don`t even spell it correctly.

Alpharetta is pretty big, but its OTP, so a lot of people who live ITP act like it's not a real city. The perimeter is a strange thing.MrPopo wrote:Is Alpharetta big? I lived in Alpharetta for a few years. It's actually pretty small. Still miss a few restaurants there though.
Now if you include the whole Roswell/John's Creek area then it seems a bit larger but it's only got a pretty central area. Now I'm in Chicago and this time of year REALLY miss Georgia. Especially a few of my favorite restaurants down there...

You can pick up the actual game case and see the art and ads etc. They have found that many people actually dont care about owning all that later and having it nice shiny and sealed.TEKTORO wrote:It's the principle new games should absolutely come factory sealed for numerous reasons. Primary problem here this is being done so people don't buy new and go for the used bottom line. Look how f**kd the industry is because of it, you have developers and publishers scrounging for ways to make back money they put into delivering a product at the expense of a consumer only. We have more DLC, add ons, online passes etc and more shitty rushed games with day one patches like never before all because of shifty business practices like these.
Honestly if it was ok then why are we on the verge of a digital format only push vs GS. Sorry to say GameStop does not give two craps about their employees, you or your hobby.
They definitely want to sell used games, as they get more markup, but opening the new games isnt to push people towards used.
It also didnt cause DLC and season passes. That stuff is there because they are now able to do it. Digital distribution has enabled quick and easy DLC. Rushed games and patches are a different animal all together.
Ok so I know I tend to jump the gun and get my panties in a bunch over them sometimes, but gosh they just piss me off with some of the effects they've caused.
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Noticed something kind of disappointing the other day. So whenever I'm in a game stop there are a few things that I make sure to check before leaving. One of those things is the Collector's Editions that they have on display since most stores will slowly discount those out to keep them from taking up to much space. Well over the past week I've been to a 3 of the nearby locations and noticed something. Some genius has deemed it a good idea to open up the collector's boxes and put their statues out on display
. Noticed this with copies of Far Cry 4, Sout Park the Stick of Truth, and Dark Souls 2. Needless to say I forsee alot of incomplete and/or damaged collector's editions in the future
.

They'll zip lock bag the extras and sell them as new with the game case when the time comes.Fragems wrote:Noticed something kind of disappointing the other day. Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
So I got a gift card and want to use it on the website to get either a ps1 or dc game. However like most of us we like our game to be complete with case and manual and last time I ordered on GameStop I got disc only and very bad scratches on all of them. Should I jump and try again or just get a cartridge game

Ok thanks. I think I'll just get a cart game
Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
I say that because I was recently reminded myself of how much of a crapshoot ordering online from GS is. Had to return 3/6 games because of disc only.
