Amazon Warehouse has a single CIB "Good" condition used copy of Jerry Rice & Nitus' Dog Football for $19.82 if anyone was searching for one.

I actively avoid Gamestop thesedays and have for several years now, do they still open games and sell the copies as "new"? Despite you know, them deflowering that seal.

Yep. And we had near existential debates about that in the official GameStop thread.

I patronize Gamestop frequently, and I understand the opposition a lot of people have for them, but in most towns, they're the only actual game stores still around, so I try to support them rather than Walmart or Target (at least with my new game and console purchases).

There's a reason they're the only game store in town. They're just like Walmart, they put the smaller businesses out of business.

Honestly Gamestop does some pretty stupid stuff but if you know the market and watch their sales/promotions there are plenty of solid deals to be had there. Anything is better then the piss poor experiences at other stores Walmart, Target, and Toys R US might as well not have game sections thanks to their high mark ups, lack of knowledgeable employees, and the shear annoyance of having to track down someone to open the display cases or remove security devices. Honestly I don't care much for Best Buy either if not for the GCU subscription service which gives you 20% off new games and the fact that they on occasion have great daily deals I would probably never go there.

Only if you limit gaming to modern gaming; they don't deal in retro games (at least not at the brick-and-mortar stores). Most of the few retro game stores I've been to have also sold and taken pre-orders for newer games, and when I lived in those areas, I patronized those stores instead of Gamestop.

Sure, for those in civilized regions. Much of the USA simply doesn't have independent brick-and-mortar video game specialists.

Hence why I shop at Gamestop; if I want to go buy a game in person, my choices are Gamestop or Walmart. In the choice between two evils, I'll pick the lesser evil every time.

A lot of the Gamestop stores in southern Minnesota actually have friendly, knowledgeable gamers working at them which makes for a decent shopping experience. It also pays to get to know them as they will work with you more often to get you what you're after.

As for Wii games. I just had Arc Rise Fantasia arrive so I need to pick that up. I'm still looking for a decent priced Sakura Wars and Phantom Brave though.
