Well then, add that to PSO and it looks like "DC games with Online in the title should stay online" project is moving along!noiseredux wrote:as it happens, Alienfront is a game that the DC community has been making strides in getting back ONLINE in the last year.
How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?

Had a video game party last Monday night. Highlights included me introducing everyone to vs pacman for GC, deathtank zwei for SS, and CHU CHU ROCKET for DC!
We played more CHU CHU rocket than anything else. Game is bonkers.

Picked up rush 2049. Wired thing is no volume comes thru in the game and yes the volume and AV cables are correct. Just weird

Re: How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?
my Dreamcast gaming is going awesome. I just got a Blaze DC Mini Twin Stick:

You guys remember my old "Dreamcab"? Well last weekend I tore it down. It was functional, but it looked like crap and took up way too much space in my game room. So I re-purposed an unused bookshelf and made a new standing setup.

As you can see, the lower shelf houses all the electronics... the console, the speakers, and a surge protector. The wires are all run through the back of the shelf. The one concession I had to make was ditching the CRT monitor I was using. But while I'm giving up light gun games, I have upgraded from a 14" display to a beautiful 20" and this just looks so much slicker and takes up far less space.

Cute setup there. Very neat and organized. Really dig'n that screen you got there.
Tho I wouldn't recommend that Blaze DC Twin Mini stick, at least for fighting games. It's just not solidly built to accommodate that genre without having the parts eventually wear out and not work. Plus there just isn't enough elbow room like at all to handle 2 players side by side. It's really a novelty stick imo. Works decent for puzzle games and maybe shmups I suppose.

For those not following my blog in the Reviews section (shameless plug, sorry), I just posted a feature on Gunlord. It's definitely one of my favourite Indie release on the Dreamcast ever.

I played a couple missions of Alienfront Online last night before bed. I don't think this game has left my (main) DC since Christmas.
