NintendoRepairShop.com... anyone here order from them?

Post by Flak Beard »

I just placed an order for a SNES controller extension, and was wondering if anyone else here has ever done business with them.

If so, how would you rate them?

They seem like a good outfit to me. I ordered a some NES parts last year and recieved them promptly. I always shop around for stuff like this, so they were probably the cheapest too.

I've used them a couple of times. They're not fancy, but they deliver the goods. I ordered an new 72 pin NES connector from em and a cleaning kit. They came in little ziploc bags hehe but they worked just fine.

One thing to note: I looked all around (mostly on ebay and Amazon) for original SNES controllers and the Repair Shop was the only place I could find that actually had them. Everywhere else you'd get scammed and receive some shoddy knockoff (some even had Nintendo right on em, still crap).

A local game store near me even sells the knockoffs in boxes using the official artwork packaging. They are deceptively real at first glance. I bought one thinking it was legit.

Good thing I opened it up in the car before I left. I went back in and told the guy I didn't want some Chintendo controller and asked for a refund. The guy told me a fool for thinking they were real, and I asked him what did he expect considering they're even using knockoff packaging. Needless to say, I don't shop there anymore.
