Xenoblade Chronicles X
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X
I've been doing the XCX "end game" for a couple weeks now. It's fairly amusing but about to wind down for me. You'll want to either grind out a level 60 mech or an Ares 90. Once you have that, most of the tyrants are non issues. And you'll want to get level 5 field skills for Mech, Arch, and Bio. Then you'll comb the map looking for all remaining treasure (although at this point gold and ore inconsequential). You can finish up all affinity missions to fill in the map and get some level 60 blueprints. Lastly, you can grind for augments to your gear that will allow you to take down the last 3-4 tyrants. Honestly, the progress slows WAY down once you're to that point. (I suppose the other thing you could do is go after all of the 750 achievments, although most you'll get automatically through the story. The chivements in this game are a bitlame)

Considering that the Wii U doesn't have an integrated achievement system, I think the fact that the game has achievements at all is pretty cool in context of the console.

Not on the system level, no, but a decent number of games seem to roll something in. Mario games like to do stickers for example.

I should be done with Chapter 5 by now, but Lin keeps messing it up for me. Sometimes when I get into battle with one enemy, she'll go off somewhere else and start a fight with other monsters, bringing them over to my fight and causing me to lose.

When you target an enemy hit the plus button to bring up a team command menu. You can have them focus on the target specifically. Also be careful, because a lot of projectile attacks are area effect or cone attacks and can easily bring in other enemies.

The AI have a tendency to invite random enemies to give it to you up the ass with little to no warning...

I haven't noticed them engaging other enemies individually, but I have seen the AI numerous times use area of effet / 'target: nearby enemies' / 'target: enemies in front' arts that pull new enemies in to the fight. If you aren't in the habit already, try holding right shoulder and pressing down on the d-pad. Thatt's the 'come to me' shortcut to pull the AI party next to you.

Oh, it's all just AoE stuff. I just always forget to take preventative measures until I'm already being turned into meat paste.
