Dang that is really cool, had no idea. Seems like the PC-98 had all sorts of cool stuff - Brandish, Popful Mail...

Don't forget Night Slave, which had really good...... gameplay.

Oh, and you still have plenty of games to check out! Ardy Lightfoot, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters, Kendo Rage, Disney's Bonkers, Power Instinct, 7th Saga, Plok, Cacoma Knight in Bizyland, Soldiers of Fortune, Bust-A-Move, Goof Troop, Ignition Factor, The Peace Keepers, Marvel Superheroes in War of the Gems, Liberty or Death, College Slam, Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure, SOS, The Twisted Tales of Spike McFang, Wild Guns...

...That, or I have really odd taste in games. That could also most certainly be a factor.

There's more than enough games for sure, my point was that the no-doubt recommendations, A-list type games are growing thin. Still need to look at Ogre Battle (and its SFC sequel), Seiken Densetsu 3, Mario All-Stars, FF4 and 5, and... Star Fox 2 I guess?

I wouldn't worry about Star Fox 2 so much.

But think of it this way: the SNES library has been pulled apart and picked over. People know the big names like Final Fantasy, Mario, and the like. Everybody talks about the A-listers. But you have the power to focus on the other great games of the library, the ones that people found but don't hold up the same way. And you have a voice in evaluating and establishing these games as the second wave of "classics," the games that are now shooting up in price because people have been realizing just how great they really are. The Adventures of Batman and Robin, for instance, or The King of Dragons. And you also get to consider the mediocre or middle tier and talk about why they are worth seeking and should be sought out by fans of the medium.

Don't worry about finishing off the A-list. Truth be told, they're not that interesting anymore. What I want to know is whether something like Inindo, Bazooka Blitzkrieg, or Jim Lee's Wild C.A.T.S. is worth tracking down.

I wouldn't worry about Star Fox 2 so much.

Actually, I'd be interested to hear what SNESdrunk has to say about Star Fox 2. My view of the game seems to be completely different than most.

Er Mai Gah, you gave it a lukewarm review, you horrid horrid monster.

I've heard the style over substance thing about this before. It's why I still haven't picked it up. Was considering it on the Steam Sale, but at $11.99 it was still too much for something I've effectively already played before and didn't care for much the first time at that.

Hey Ack, thanks for imploring me to play Death and Return of Superman. I'm really digging it, yet they could've done so much more with how the story was presented. Combine this game's structure with Maximum Carnage's comic-like presentation and it's that much better.

You're welcome! I'm glad you're having a good time, but I definitely agree that more could have been done with it. Still, it's surprisingly entertaining when you get into it.

Have you discovered the ability to smash walls and enemy spawn points yet? This will help dramatically in the final levels.
