We played a lot of EX+a for the PS1 back in '98. I was as bad at it (compared to my friends) as I was with regular 16-bit SF, but this one looked super cool.
I never played EX2+ . Shame these three aren't on a collection somewhere.

Y'all got me looking up EX gameplay videos. Never played any of these before, but I think I might have to give em a run through.

I boot mine up for the last few levels in Ghost in the Shell - my favorite is Level 7 Villains, tho levels 5 is great too. I haven't found anything like the cityscape's complete 3D control so this is officially my favorite level of any game ever.
I'm also at Nibelheim in FF7, but that's been on the back shelf for a long time and I've been having trouble getting back into it because of the incoming repetition - the last time I played through FF7 was three years ago with all the latest qhimm board graphical PC mods. It's great to experience it again, but I can't do the full replays as often as I used to. Not enough time.
I've gotten fairly far in N-Gen racing the couple of times I booted it. Very arcadey fun, kinda like DOS Hi-octane but with grounded (why? - because it's better that way!) fighter jets.
I played a bit more of PS1 Diablo on my phone because I haven't made the switch from SDL Bochs to Dosbox Turbo. The palette issues and loading time are annoying enough to just play what works (not that there isn't a way-too-long loading time in the PS1 version and other crapped out features).
My next planned full playthrough is Castlevania SOTN after a six (OK 2 but those didn't count) year hiatus. I've had an original NM CIB disc sitting on the shelf for over three years and I really have to play it!
Recently one of my friends yelled "I'll nevar give up!" and I instinctively yelled "No Problem!" while we were moving another friend's furniture. Battle Arena Toshinden. I remembering it being truly horrible, but I'll have it booted up the next time he comes over. He'll definitely kick my ass when we both choose Ellis.

Got today off. Will be playing some ps1 today. Thinking of playing some tekken 2 and 3 since you guys have been talking so much on it. I also have a craving for some wwf warzone. That and wcw nitro. Don't know why I want to play those crappy wrestling games when I have wcw/nwo revenge.
I think it's because those were some of the first games I bought when I got the ps1.
I do want to try to beat castlevania chronicles. After I spend an hr or so on the wrestling and fighting games I'm going for some castlevania. Thank god I have a couple of 3rd party controllers because I know I'm going to want to break the controller while I getting frustrated trying to beat the game

Yeah those non-AKI rasslin games from that period were kinda rough. Although I do remember having fun with the character creator in both WWF War Zone and WWF Attitude.

True story: I loved the character creator mode in both these games, but I didn't own a Memory card, so I had to re-create my character every time I turned my playstation off and back on. After a few months of this (which seemed like a long time when I was fourteen) I got to the point of creating my character very fast.TSTR wrote:Yeah those non-AKI rasslin games from that period were kinda rough. Wrestlemania 2000 and No Mercy have character creators, stick with those.

Did anyone like the wcw vs the world game for the ps1. At first glance it looked ok but the gameplay mechanics are fantastic. It was the first time you can play hulk hogan vs Hollywood hogan. Damn I miss wcw 94-98.
