At my game stops around my area all the "good games/hidden gems" that many of us look out for are gone. Too bad too. Would of loved to get my hands on the sink collections, or klonoa, geometry wars.

I stopped by two Gamestops looking for Wii games. The prices haven't budged for more than a year. They still want fifty dollars for a used copy of Skyward Sword, Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Mario Party 8 and Mario Party 9. I know that 1st party Nintendo titles tend to retain their value better than other games, but these games have been sitting on a shelf for more than a year now. C'mon Gamestop, mark down these wii games a few dollars for me. If they aren't moving, mark 'em down.

B2G1 starting today on all pre-owned. Good opportunity to pick up some of those expensive games at a discounted price. It's like getting three $50 games at $33 each minus the 10% discount.

Mas, I've been able to find things recently like SNK vol 1, Sky Crawlers, House of the Dead: Overkill, Sam & Max Season 1, Fragile Dreams, and several others. Some Gamestops are much better for Wii games then others.

The platform I would think will get bargained out next is PSP. Most stores aren't carrying them anymore and what remains is just sitting there, mostly UMD only.

Just have the games transferred in from another Gamestop store, even if out of state. I have posted numerous times on this, had games shipped across the country. Be sure to do the random zip code search at home so you have info ahead of time for the employee. Go on a weekday as soon as the store opens to avoid the crowds. You get much better results in person and when the store is not busy.

I too have been waiting for Nintendo flagship titles to go down in price, just need the Wii Mario Party games.

I went to a local gamestop near my office because it showed them having Ghost Squad ($1.99!). It's been a while since i've been in there but they're Wii stuff is actually pretty organized.

They didn't have Ghost Squad but they did have two other games that were on my 'want' list and Banana Blitz was two bucks so huzzah:

Excite Truck - $2.99
Endless Ocean: Blue World - $9.99
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz - $1.99

All games are CIB and both Excite Truck and Blue World look like they've been seldom used (Blue World especially - all the docs are crisp - felt like it had rarely been opened).

Every now and then, you find some great stuff at Gamestop. I found The Calling and Obscure 2 at mine (neither are particularly valuable - Obscure was only $0.89 - but, at least from my experience, they're both pretty uncommon). At the Gamestop near my hometown, I found Ju-On when I was visiting my mom a few months back, and that's definitely one of the rarer and slightly more valuable Wii games. Just gotta keep an eye open. Edward McKay is also a really good place to look for any of yall who are in North Carolina like me (I'm not sure if they have locations in other states).

When the website of Gamestop tells you the store has stock, but you can't find it on the floor, it's probably had its case tossed (value under $5 in my area) but the disc is still in the drawer. So you'd want to ask at the counter if you run in to that situation. And yeah, I've found a number of great deals at Gamestop over the years. Including the mass reprint/refurb of Calling, One Piece, and Ju-On.

That's something to keep in mind for all platforms and games, not just the old or cheap ones. That happened to me when I bought Pikmin 3; it's a $60 game for a current platform, but the case was nowhere to be found despite the game's being in their drawer. When in doubt, ask.
