Good question and I'm sure Capital and Jim are missed by many. Basically today you have two main options and depending on what you want you can't go wrong with either. My personal favorite is Herring & Robinson but Houchen is good as well.CFFJR wrote:Say jmb, which binder do you use for your comics?jmbarnes101 wrote: I just ordered the last of the comics I needed for Power of Shazam so I'll be sending that and Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam off to get custom bound into HC.
I haven't had any volumes made (my money just goes elsewhere) or visited Uncollected Editions for several years, but I want to get back into it at some point as I have many issues set aside. I only ever tried Capitol back then, but they weren't cheap, and don't really seem to be an option these days.
Just curious who you'd recommend.
Herring & Robinson:
Quality binding and very customizable options like head and tail bands, ribbon markers, multiple color stamping, etc. They don't do custom print covers and will no longer make dye stamps. Great customer service.

Houchen:
They offer discounts on multiple volumes but they have higher costs on anything that isn't a no frills book. They do offer, and for an extra charge will design, custom covers. If you do the customer covers, designed yourself, with their 5 volume discount it's a good price. Tim is great to work with.
