Well, I'd say that the genre began with Aeon of Strife, a fan map for StarCraft.noiseredux wrote:Defends Of The Ancients, a mod for Warcraft 3 that introduced the concept of Massive Online Battle Arena games.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I don't know what DOTA is.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
It is a genre of game where two teams of players must destroy each other's base. You do so in a RTS style gameplay, controlling a single hero as you level up by killing enemy players and minions, as well as defense towers that block your path to the enemy base.BoneSnapDeez wrote:what the hell is a "MOBA"???
AL the characters have unique abilities and play styles.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
This may fit better on the Fallout 4 thread but for non owners who may be interested and more exposure, I'm sharing my thought here.
During loading screens in Fallout 4, they show tips with a model spinning. When the tip is a perk description, the model shown is the picture of the perk (a representation of the perk). They are stylized as pins. Why are these pins not in real life?!
