What Radeon card? Running AMD here with no problems, except for the engine's shortcomings (that's a whole different kettle of fish, typical Bethesda).. I don't own the game so I rushed through it on Steam, and I was utterly disappointed because of the sloppy writing and forced twist and final showdown (Meh!).. Of the side quests that I came across only one was interesting (the one with the 400 y.o. archaeologist), and the terminals had little interesting stuff to read. I suppose after going through the wasteland twice the third time feels like a burdensome visit.

Despite its limitations and choose-your-own-adventure nature of story progression, Mass Effect 2 remains a good example of how you do factions and loyalty system.

I love that everything tends to have a use now whether it be mods or building. I also dig that I'm not constantly having to go into a menu and repair my guns. That being said, the game does feel like it took a couple steps backwards from NV and 3 with the morality system and dialogue. The gunplay feels a lot smoother and more natural and sometimes I forget VATS is even a thing.

FYI, the "SIZE" indicator for settlements is in regards to item/building usage, not settlers. Just in case that's confusing, as it confused me and many others it seems... so yeah sadly there is a building limit and it's extremely easy to tax out. But I guess if you're on PC there's mods for that to have unlimited.

I was really bummed, having these elaborate ideas and that was fun on the sides while I did missions off and on, only to eventually hit a size limit when I only reached like 20% of what I envisioned for my Sanctuary. lol

Pulsar, my desktop is a bit old but I added a Radeon HD6670 card to it, which has served me well on pretty much every game. It has 8 gb of ram and 2.4 GHz. I thought it might have been the GHz killing it for me when the game was unplayable at lowest settings. However, my laptop, which has worse specs, runs it brilliantly on high settings. 'Shrug'

@Xeogred, Aw! I haven't done enough scavenging to hit that limit, but I would have assumed it referred to settlers as well. Dang, was planning to build one hell of a tower complex in Sanctuary.

I think I know now why I didn't bother reading most of the terminals in FO4. Talos Principle featured exactly the same style and its content was far more interesting. heck after the first typo I came across in FO4 I realised the devs weren't giving a crap about the story any longer as long as it gets in-game. Though probably I did miss out on a few interesting side quests, might have to check out on YT since I already deleted the file cache.

so basically you rushed through a game and didn't experience the entirety of the content and you were left with a feeling that the game wasn't done very well? huh?

In his defense, I've yet to read a review that holds up the core story as even remotely interesting or well-written (unless you compare it to the core story in Fallout 3, Oblivion, or Skyrim, because WTF, Bethesda?).

it's not very good. there are tons of side quests that are way, way better/more interesting though. same thing with Fallout 3. New Vegas is the only one that had an actually interesting story, imo.

I figured out the major story beat within the game's intro, but it's not like it wasn't obvious. I personally liked all the emails leading up to Judgement Day; it was interesting seeing how the various aspects of the society handled what was going on. I always read every terminal to just get that extra flavor.

I'm only a few hours in but I'm getting my ass handed to me all of a sudden. I hate my guns right now.

gotta spend some time modding shit out. i put a lot of perks into Gun Nut and Science and Armorer and then spent like an hour modding stuff and i'm virtually unstoppable in combat. legendary enemies go down in like 4 shots. it's nice.
