I guess it took them a while to gauge whether it was worth it to bring out yet another version of the same game.

I'll probably actually get this myself; The only games I own from this series are GGX and GGXX (working on the original GG), and from what I hear this is the closest we'll get to a GGXXX. (Of course, I already have a folder named 'GGXXX', but I'm sure it's against forum rules to post such things.)

my guess (shot in the dark) is that it took forever to get a coherent translation of the story mode. (I mean, look at castle shikigami II, the translated text makes so little sense that it's unbelievably funny). not to mention the licensing issues with releasing a game in a new territory. either way I'm really glad they're bringing it over here.

I popped in GGX for DC over the weekend, I had forgot how much I enjoyed this game. I have GGXX for PS2 also. I might pick this up in the future if I have some extra spending money.

I just wish the release had online capability, because none of my friends are into this game so I was stuck always playing against the CPU in the other titles, boring. Is it wrong to wish that it was being released on the 360/PS3 with better HD graphics and net support?

What are the differences between the different X games? I have Guilty Gear X2 for the Xbox, but that is the only one I ever managed to get.

I have yet to play a Guilty Gear game. I like fighters though and I own a PS2.

If I were to buy just one of the games from this series, which one should I buy? Should I just get the one that is about to come out since it will have the most features, or is there something about one of the older versions that has more charm?

get xx accent core or wait for plus to come out. they're all great games but you won't miss much skipping to the newest one.

if you've got a dreamcast and a burner, try out guilty gear X to see if you like it. it's a great 2d fighter.
