I know it's supposed to be a super mediocre game (I haven't played it yet, so I can't judge it), but have yall seen the prices for the North American version? Apparently the stock was so low that the prices on eBay are hovering around $180 or so for an NTSC-U copy.

How many of yall managed to snag one? How many don't care? I'm tempted to sell mine, but if this is going to end up being those one of random, bizarrely rare games, I'm glad I bought it at release and will probably hold on to it.

I didn't realize this had even come out yet. I don't know that it's something I would have bought either way but certainly not for $180.

Yeah, it came out on Friday. I picked it up because I pick up every mature-ish Nintendo exclusive, but my jaw hit the floor when I read the NintendoLife article about the eBay prices.

Yea, I don't care at all about this game, and the fact it's getting flipped shows how much others think about it as well. I call it Devil's Turd as I don't give a flip about the guy at all.

So, here's the thing. We've had it here in Europe since August(?) and I bought it at launch. Despite what the press was like, I actually thought it was a decent enough game. Not amazing, but certainly far from being what a lot of critics called it. It's fun. The best part of the game is the multiplayer though, which is really good. There's so many original and unique modes to play in. Like the fruit gathering one.

The game is well worth a try, in my opinion.

Well I liked it. I didn't get around to completing it, but I played quite a few hours of the story mode and played even more of the multiplayer. I found it almost laughable the response it got, like it was the worst game of all time. In truth, it's just a "not bad" game, that some people (like me), may enjoy. Others might find it a bit 'meh'. It's typical over-the-top Japanese gameplay and the mechanics are all solid enough.

Not sure what to do about this game and it's price.

I'd like to play it and own it. I tend to buy most Nintendo published games. I still don't have Pikmin 3 because it's going price of 80 bucks is just too much.

This game is going to suck much more than Pikmin, so there is no way I'll pay this price.

On the other hand. I bum myself out when I think of how I traded my 32x spiderman game.


I'll wait to see how the price changes, or if there is another print on the way.
