Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
There's tons of good stuff to be had for the GBA if you dig. For example, Duke Nukem Advance was a well done surprise when I completed it a few months ago. The port of Activision Anthology stands up to its console brothers. Super Ghouls N Ghosts is awesome. Wolfenstein 3D may be missing the music, but it runs just as well, etc.
Check out my GBA collection at RF Generation if you want to see what's best.

The Wii has some truly, truly killer games on it, and not all of them are made by Nintendo either. When you start building up your Wii library, hit me up for advice. At one time I owned over 300 Wii games, I know a thing or two about the system.

Agreed. I finished my Wii collection last month, and I probably have almost as many games as Exhuminator. The library really is fantastic, especially if you like older genres (i.e., 2D platformers, adventure games, gallery shooters, etc.).

I don't have nearly that many now, I'm down to about 150. I gave/sold a bunch of my Wii games away in the last few years. I still have the heavy hitters though.

I guess that is part of my issue with the library, I dont care much for the genres you listed above, with the exception of adventure games. I like certain types of those.
My other issue is the forced and often poorly implemented waggle controls. Not enough games allowed a regular controller scheme, and that killed some games for me.

I bet Wii waggle will be a punchline for retrogamers down the road the same way the NES Powerglove is now. I can already see the Facebook VR posts saying "Remember when we thought this was a good idea? Lol! Like and share if you're a 2000's kid!"

Wii waggle-centric games are annoying, I agree with that. But there are some Wii games which utilize the Wii Remote intuitively and successfully. That's just not something I can say about the Power Glove.
There are also some great RPGs on the Wii, just saying.

And rail shooters. I loved the resident evil and house of the dead games. No need to buy separate light guns and more tailored to a console experience.

Indeed. Sin & Punishment: Star Successor is the best game on the system IMO.

That's a great choice. I will probably stick with Super Mario Galaxy because it is so perfectly designed, but I think there is a very strong argument for Sin & Punishment.
BTW, Exhuminator, have you played Pandora's Tower? If so, I would be happy to read your comments on it. (I played through it a few years ago, and I enjoyed it quite a bit.)
