See that's a nice balance. I should aim for that.

Or I would if I had any sense, heh.

Yeah, playing even 3 games at once bugs me. 2 is the magic number for me.

I have the same problem. Too many games, not enough time. The fact that Steam and GOG have a huge sale every 3 months because reasons doesn't help.

Getting into PC gaming has been wonderful and horrible at the same time.
Have: Sega Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 800XL, PC, N3DS XL, Wii U, GBA, Xbox One, Switch

I actually prefer just focusing on one at a time. I have two going right now and another possible two to start...tis madness.

I usually like to keep some kind of contrasting balance going.

Silent Hill is depressing and muted so I'll play that next to Mario or other colorful happy games.
Crazy long RPG's are long so I'll play some short simple games in between.

etc haha.

I haven't really had any good multiplayer fix in awhile though. Been craving some newer shooter I could get into, but no idea what that'd be. I'm not into MMO's though. Played some DOTA 2 with some friends and it was cool, but I don't know. One month of Fallout 4 was a stretch for me. I gotta keep on moving to play and beat more games!

I typically have three going at once. One main that I play at home when I have a free block of at least an hour. One portable that I play when I have a couple minutes free (like a lunch hour at work, or waiting on whatever wherever). And one co-op that I'm slowly beating with my wife. For example right now my main is Ace Combat 6, my portable is Theresia, and my co-op is Resident Evil 6.

(And no Ack I have not given up on Deadly Premonition, I'm treating it as a once a week television show. Because its a better TV show than a game.)
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

I need to cut that out, I got a freaking problem here.
I'm the exact opposite. I get bored with only playing a few games and it makes grinding so much more difficult.

Currently, I am playing 6 games. I also have a day of playing completely random games.

I like to switch between games and I much prefer taking smaller steps instead of long strides. It helps so much more when it comes to grinding in RPG's.

I could do this when I was younger / had more free time. As an adult/husband/employee/step-parent it just ain't happening. Occasionally I'll buy an RPG (or really, any game that requires more than 30 minutes to make progress in) and suddenly gaming becomes a chore. If I try to balance multiple games on top of that limitation, it gets really bad.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I do one at a time.

I also generally only play "short" games.

Me too. If I start a game in the middle of another game I tend to end up not finishing one of them.
