Re: Why cant I unlock Gouken?
you probably beat the game with Akuma between attempts. Thats what stumped me. I was too eager to get Gouken and forgot I had to win with Akuma.

Re; Gief and his move priority (discussed earlier before Moz fucked with the threads...) Can't remember with what character, but that bastard even had priority over my ultra combo!
Re: Street Fighter 4: Dedicated Post-Release Impression Thread
PC has a HDMI to the plasma and I can connect up to four wireless 360 controllers to my wireless gaming receiver so that's not an issue.the7k wrote:Man, PS3 games are still more expensive across the pond? What a backwards way of doing things.
I dunno, I just can't see getting a fighting game for the PC. The last way I want to play a fighting game is with the legions of cheap-skates that dominate the online experience.
Of course, if you've got a set-up going where you can have a crowd of people gathered around your computer, then it would work. The only time I was ever able to pull something like that off was back at college, when the computer and television were right next to each other.

You got something to say? The discussion is in this thread, where it belongs.bobbynewmarkiii wrote:Re; Gief and his move priority (discussed earlier before Moz fucked with the threads...)
Re: Just picked up Street Fighter 4...
I'd say not so. SFIV has been successful and it doesn't cater to people who mash buttons. I see what you're saying about the possible future though but even then I don't necessarily see that happening because, if all games became button mashers, wouldn't everyone get tired of them because thats all you have to do? The balance must be struck between nooby button mashers and real fighting games, and I think a happy medium will be found just like back in the late 90s.the7k wrote:Yeah, but back then the fighting genre wasn't even clearly defined, and the majority of gamers wanted more depth in games back then. Now, with the fighting genre clearly defined, I believe making it go mainstream will mean cutting a lot of the edges to make a smoother experience for anybody to just pick up and play.
So, I say, sit back and welcome a whole new generation of button-mashers.
On a side note, I'm enjoying SFIV very much. Great game, I also heard Japan completely sold out of the game on launch day

I am not liking all the fucking coward players..... if I win the first round they leave.... if I win the first round and am beating them in the second round they leave. It's not fair that I can't get up battle points because everyone is a punk bitch. This game isn't all that it's cracked up to be. The expectations were way too high. It was over-hyped for sure. I think I like HDRemix more than this one. I have had this since launch but am not impressed..... especially with the 15 second load times before battle. This isn't a PSX, load times should be evident of 2009 and the PS3.

They should count disconnects/leaves separately and track it as a stat. That way you can not play with people with tons of disconnects.JDMThoughts wrote:I am not liking all the fucking coward players..... if I win the first round they leave.... if I win the first round and am beating them in the second round they leave. That's a perfect idea. So many people wanna have this stat of being undefeated. It's pointless.

Uh, how about installing it? Completely obliterates the load times.JDMThoughts wrote:especially with the 15 second load times before battle. This isn't a PSX, load times should be evident of 2009 and the PS3.
Everyone with the PS3 version should install it, I hate playing people online who haven't installed because then i'm subject to the shitty load times.
SF4! Am i the only one who stuck in the battle with m.byson?
At first I was like--->
Hell yeah SF4!!! ^_^
I was playing 4 about 1 hour in training mode to get used to the buttons. the difficult set to medium. started arcade mode.Won easily the 3 first matches and it was time to face big guy M.Byson.
and then is when i --->
turned into an akuma
I was playing this guy for about one hour and got beaten the last second with a tiny HP difference!XD
then i threw my wireless xbox controller against the wall and went out 4 a walk.. (lulz)
Have u ever had such a frustrationg experience with SF4 or other fighting games? (f.e.:Guilty Gear)
(P.S: it may be that i suck at almost all fighting games except from king of fighters and bloody roar..)
